Coordinating the corporate communications initiatives of the members of group in Nigeria and abroad to ensure coherence and results
Providing overall strategic corporate communications leadership, direction and guidance to IGI and its subsidiaries, conceptualizing and establishing current, medium term and long range corporate communications policies
and plans for the Group goals, co-ordinating the repositioning of the Group for enhanced visibility, higher brand value and sustainable competitive advantage
Report to
MD/CEO
Knowledge / Skills
Rounded marketing communications background and exposure in public relations, advertising, events management, protocol and advisory policies;
Demonstrable innovative spirit is a necessity;
Sound and deep knowledge of current industry trends;
Ability to work for long hours with minimum supervision;
Willingness to travel at short notices;
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written);
Qualifications / Experience
A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable university in Liberal Arts, Social Sciences or Business Related Disciplines;
Higher degree(s) M.Sc or MBA will be an added advantage;
Membership of relevant professional association is very desirable;
Minimum of twenty (20) years post qualification experience with at least ten (10) years in corporate communications and allied industry including five (5) years in top/senior management position;

Job Title 2: DIRECTOR MARKETING

Overall purpose
Formulation and implementation of the overall marketing strategy of the company as well as co-ordination of the company’s marketing functions
Job description / Responsibilities
Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the company.
Plan and administer the company’s marketing operations budget; support development of regional marketing budget
Oversee business development activities, develop and administer marketing database which includes client and prospect information, mailing list applications, access to financial reports, etc.
Oversee company’s electronic marketing, new product and business development/expansion support.
Preparation and submission of Insurance bids on behalf of the company.
Provide technical support.

Deputy Managing Director of Operations
Knowledge / Skills
Strong leadership and consensus building skills.
Marketing management and strategic planning experience; a proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with others at all levels in the organization.
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
Must possess top level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
Integrity, probity and good sense of judgment.
Trustworthiness, confidentiality and firmness of character.
Foresight and visionary skills.

Maximum of 50 years of age
Qualifications / Experience
A good first degree in Marketing/Banking/Finance/Economics/ Business Studies or related discipline from a recognized Institution
Masters degree in related discipline is preferable

Job Title 3: DIRECTOR TECHNICAL

Department: SPECIAL RISK & OIL

Overall purpose
Formulating the company’s underwriting and reinsurance
policies, maximizing business opportunities, formulating and developing long term product strategies, etc.
Job description / Responsibilities
Negotiate and procure reinsurance treaties for the company.
Advise and properly guide Executive Management on technical matters.
Prepare revenue budgets for the company’s technical operations.
Prepare technical inputs to management and financial accounts.
Properly guide and motivate personnel involved in technical operations.
Closely monitor trends and developments on technical issues in the insurance market.
Ensure compliance of the provisions of the Insurance Act, 2003.
Organize appropriate training programmes for all technical staff.
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports bothering technical matters to aid Executive Management decisions.
Supervise the technical operations of the Company.

Special skills in negotiations.
Ability to develop and drive a rapidly growing technical portfolio.
Age requirement
Maximum of 50 years of age
Qualifications / Experience
B.Sc (Second Class Lower) or HND (Upper Credit) in Insurance/Actuarial Science.
Masters degree in relevant discipline will be an advantage.
Professional membership of ACII, ACIIN, FCII (London) is a must.
Minimum of 20 years cognate experience, 10 of which must be at Management level of an insurance company.
