Senior Financial Accountant At IROKO

Job description
iROKO is seeking an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant to act as Senior Financial Accountant at our Lagos office starting immediately.
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years group financial accounting experience (IFRS/UK GAAP) along with the ability to liaise with other offices, group consolidation, impact transfer pricing, cost allocation and reporting.

The role:
Provide support to key members of the organisation by identifying opportunities for improving operational performance, cost savings and leading strategic initiatives.

Assisting in the preparation of Group statutory accounts and relevant financial statements.
Preparation of periodic Management accounts and analysis
Manage cash flow across the companies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, internal controls and accounting systems to assure accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group
Liaise and maintain a good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax authorities etc
Any other ad hoc duties
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualities we’re looking for
Minimum 2 Years financial accounting experience.
Strong group accounts consolidation experience
Strong communications skills.
Strong organization/Methodical skills.
Can demonstrate long-term and strategic planning skills
Highly developed commercial experience and an interest in the emerging African IT industry is desirable
Qualities that would make you stand out
Experience with US Gaap is an added advantage.
Experience working within a start up environment.
Experience working within the Online/Media industry
