Assembly Overhaul & Maintenance Technician -

Baker Hughes Incorporated has an opening for an Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Technician for its Completion Systems operations in Nigeria. This is an entry-level role for a Mechanical Engineering graduate looking for an exciting career opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Maintains, tests and assembles product / tools / sub-assemblies.
  • Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures for operations.
  • Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices.
  • Complete tool inspections in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Enter data into database and access the necessary maintenance data records to apply conditional based maintenance routines and to enable problem / equipment failure investigations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Completion of the 1 year National Youth Service Corp.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and understand the English language.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  •  Versed in fluid power technology and mechanical devices.

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Crane or forklift experience is a plus.

DRILLING ENGINEER WELL PLANNER

Baker Hughes Incorporated has an opening for a Well Planner to be based in Lagos Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
  • Taking a lead role in presenting solutions to clients and assisting with preparation of price quotations.
  • Performing borehole centric reservoir engineering work through analytical, analogical solutions and through dynamic numerical simulation.
  • Presenting results obtained from interpretations to the client for the development and maintenance of current and future prospects.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Two year Technical Degree and applicable work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences or related earth science discipline preferred.
  • 2-3+ years experience in a similar position or other work related experience in Directional Drilling or MWD/LWD desired.

  • May write and/or present technical reports in professional journals or meetings.
  • May prepare and conduct technical training for internal company employees and external clients.
Other Details
  • Duties include on call data monitoring on nights and weekends.

SENIOR OPERATIONS COORDINATOR PRESSURE PUMPING


Baker Hughes is looking for a Field Service Coordinator (Pressure Pumping) to be located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This position holds responsibility for up managing field personnel and also providing direct service to our customers within Pressure Pumping.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Coordinating and supervising activities of service and technical personnel via personnel assignments, job management, administration and technical support.
  • Manage operations employee performance, development, and technical training.
  • Provides technical guidance and work direction to operations personnel and advise regarding equipment problems, equipment condition, equipment specifications and equipment limitations.
  • Maintain records of communications and dispatching activities.
  • Generates monthly invoices and assists in the collection of past due accounts.
  • Ensures that critical information is communicated to appropriate manager or other staff. Works independently under general supervision, requiring normal guidance and review.
  • Monitors daily progress of jobs and/ or projects
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 8 years minimum experience as a field engineer and Coordinator combined
  • Ability to work under pressure, good prioritizing skills and time management
  • Thorough understanding of customer requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of processes and procedures of the operating area.
  • Proficient in the use of PC's.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to use highly specialized and advanced skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution development.
