Position: Principal
The successful candidate shall report to the Vice-Chancellor through the Director, College of Continuing Education (CCE). The Principal is the academic and administrative head of the School and as such, shall be responsible for the overall administration and day-to-day management of the School. The Principal shall be required to create a conducive environment to foster effective teaching and learning in the most cost-effective manner.
Job Description
The Principal shall among other things, be responsible for the:
* Implementation of policies for the efficient management and development of the School;
* Supervision and control of the property and facilities of the School
* Supervision, control and monitoring of students, especially ensuring proper
* Character moulding and instilling discipline with exceptional academic excellence;
* Coordination of duties of the teachers and other units while ensuring proper focus on achievements of set objectives.
* Effective communication with the State and or Federal Ministries of Education and other relevant agencies through the Director of the College, on Secondary School Education matters and policies.
Salary Scale:
HATISS 14 = N513,359.00 P.A – N603.675.00 P.A
Qualification/Experience
* Applicants should posses a BA(Ed), B.Sc (Ed) or BA/B.sc with a professional teaching qualification (PGDE) from a recognized University, with at least, 12 years of credible teaching experience, five of which must have been spent as a Principal of a Secondary School.
* Possession of higher degrees, membership of relevant professional bodies and computer literacy would be an added advantage.
Summary of Views on and Vision for the Development of the School
* Prospective applicants are required to present a two-page brief summary of their vision for the development of the School to be attached with your application.
