DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH FOR A PUBLIC POLICY THINK-TANK

Our organization is an independent, non-partisan public policy think tank committed to rigorous research through which public policies and processes are examined, supported and best practices disseminated. Our major research areas are political economy, health, local government issues (including social and urban policy), power, energy and infrastructure and food and agri business
The organization seeks to appoint a Director of research (D.O.R) as soon as possible to work closely with and report to the broad of trustee. The D.O.R will set the research agenda for the organization and lead the research team in the creation, dissemination and utilization of high quality research.
The D.O.R should have the following skills and experience
• A postgraduate qualification (preferably PHD) in economics, development studies or policy-related field.
• Respected, relevant academic research and publication record in the policy/economics field
• Experience working policy research organization would be an advantage
• Experience researching/working in a developing country would be
an advantage
• Knowledge of French or Portuguese (would be an asset)
Compensation will be set according to the experience of the candidate. The organization wishes to appoint the qualified candidates as soon as possible.
