Senior Transmission Engineer (REF: TSD/HLE/01/2011)
Reporting to: the Project Manager &; Line Manager of Network Group.
Department: Network Product Department.
Requirements
* Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering, Communication or other related discipline.
* Minimum qualification is 2.2 or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 yrs experience in a delivery driven communications network environment, especially in Microwave transmission.
* Knowledge and hands on experience on internet protocol, transmission infrastructure (Microwave) and Communications service delivery.
* Experienced in Nokia Siemens, Erikson, Alcatel-lucent, Harris stratex and NEC Microwave Radios will be of higher priority.
Job Conditions:
* General Huawei working conditions.
* Additional working time is usually required on a need basis.
* Minimum qualification is 2.2 or equivalent.
General Requirements for the position;
* Experience in a Telecom Engineering Company, Telecoms Vendor or ICT is preferred and is of top-priority.
* Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Computer Science or telecommunications Engineering or relevant Degree as applicable
* Good Customer service orientation, communication skills, good team spirit and has ability to work independently.
* Should be ready to work under pressure in all kind of working condition.
* Proficient in Microsoft office(word, excel and PowerPoint)
* Applicants should be open to Ieaming new skills and technology
* Self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and fluent in English both oral and written.
* Must be ready for international project to the other African countries.
