Assistant Registrar, New Media/Publicity at the University of Lagos (UNILAG)

The University of Lagos was founded in 1962 to provide manpower needs for the newly independent Nigerian Nation. It is a city University located in the commercial city of Lagos. Over the years the University has grown to be the Nation’s pride and the University of 1st Choice, with about 48,000 students and 4,000 members of staff.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below:



Job Title: Assistant Registrar, New Media/Publicity - (CONTISS 9)

Qualifications and Experience
  • Candidates should possess a first Degree in Arts, Social Sciences and Education from recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption. 
  • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L Credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics is compulsory. 
  • Candidate must be able to manage day to day operations of the Public Relations function, including responding to enquires from the public.
  • Maintain social media sites such as Twitter, WhatsApp, Snapchart, YouTube, Facebook, Youku and LinkedIn on behalf of the University and Monitor trends in social/conventional media as it relates to the University brand. 
  • Candidate must have minimum of 6 years post NYSC experience.  Blogging experience is required.
General Requirement
  • All applicants must be ICT compliant. In addition, there will be IT proficiency test for all applicants.

  • As contained in the University of Lagos Revised Conditions of Service.
