AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a registered NGO operating in Nigeria. All-Nigeria collaborates with the Federal Government of Nigeria and other partner Institutions, to provide technical assistance to these key stakeholders to deliver quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support, HIV counseling, and testing, prevention, Nutrition and Psychosocial services to people living with HIV/AIDS.


To meet the above needs, program to recruit a dynamic, self-driven and results oriented individuals to fill in the following post:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

1. Job Title: Clinical Coordinator
No of Vacancy: 2
Reports to: Country Program Manager
Location: Based in Anambra & Cross River State

Job Summary

The state clinical coordinator directly oversees all medical activities, at AHF-Nigeria supported facilities in the located states, in Nigeria, covering all comprehensive sites and outputs within the state/region, and see to the expansion of services within state/region in Nigeria, ensuring delivery of high quality standard of care for all patients

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

As a manager, he/she oversees medical, AHF in the state and supports the country program manager to efficiency and effectively deliver quality clinical services in the state/region.
He/she will lead expansion of AHF program within the state
Provide technical supports to prevention and treatment program and ensure linkage of outreach activities to treatment and care program through well-established processes of patient linkages and service integration
Attends key technical partners meetings and provides feedback to management through the country program manager
Ensures that CMEs are conducted in all sites and participates in the facilitation of CME sessions
Clinical Responsibilities
Ensure standard quality of clinical services at all AHF supported sites in his/her region
Provide periodic comprehensive support supervision report, adhering to the tools provided by AHF
Promotes the implementation of standard operating procedures for all activities relating to good clinical practice and ensure functional QI teams are in existence at site levels
Supervise and implement quality assurance and quality improvement sessions
Strengthen TB/HIV, PMTCT, ART services through integrated service delivery and provision of quality services in the state program.
Supervisory Requirement
Provides direct supervision and mentorship to doctors, nurses, laboratory scientist, pharmacy technician working in the different facilities in the region to ensure continuous growth and learning
Ensure timely compilation and submission of monthly drug inventory reports in coordination with the program  pharmacist
Work with the program pharmacist to ensure that pharmacy operations are in accordance with good pharmacy practices
Education and /or Experience
Must be a Medical Doctor from a recognized institution, additional qualification in health systems management, public health or family medicine will be an added advantage
Minimum of five years medical/health service experience preferred with a sound knowledge of basic medical disciplines to allow for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of clinical problems
Three years or more of recent  experience with HIV/AIDS treatment, two years minimum of administration and program management experience  with knowledge of clinical protocols and procedures in the management of HIV related diseases

POSITIONS DESCRIPTION

2. Job Title: ART Clinician
No of Vacancy: 1
        Reports to: Regional Medical Manager
        Location: Based in Benue State

Job Summary

The ART clinician oversees the ART, PMTCT and prevention services of the AHF program at the facility level. This position is crucial to the achievement of AHF Nigeria’s programmatic targets and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In close coordination with the facility medical staff, ensure the provision of quality, evidence based ART, PMTCT, prevention and TB services
Coordinate monthly patient care team meetings
Ensure efficient management of AHF’s finances and provide complete, timely and accurate reports
Implement a continuous quality  assurance and improvement progam at the site level
Education and Experience
University graduate in Medicine
At least two to three years post NYSC experience in HIV treatment programs
Experience in program management
Experience with operational research and evidence based healthcare is an added advantage
Must be highly organized and capable of effective multi-tasking

POSITIONS DESCRIPTION

3. Job Title: Senior Nursing Officer
No of Vacancy: 5
        Reports to: Prevention Program Manager/State Coordinator
        Location: Based in Benue, Kogi, Cross River and Anambra State

Job Summary

The senior Nursing Officer would work closely with the clinician in ensuring smooth implementation of the ART service delivery within the facility. He/she will directly supervise the ART nurse in providing topnotch HIV care, treatment and prevention programs. This position is crucial to the achievement of AHF Nigeria’s programmatic targets and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. In close collaboration with the facility medical officer, ensure the provision of quality, evidence based ART, PMTCT, prevention  and TB services
2. Supervise the provision of skilled nursing procedures (I.e. dressing changes0
3. Ensure that medication administration  is within the scope of practice of the license
4. Directly performs or monitors the provision of phlebotomy and/or initiatives intravenous infusions as ordered
5. Attends and participates in team conference as required
6. Acts as team leader to assist with the provision and supervision of patient care in the health facilities
7. Charts notes and medication administration according to protocol
8. Supervises the provision of patient and family education in supported health facilities
9. Exercise appropriate judgment and decision making skills
10. Mentors and ensures the maintenance of patient confidentiality
11. Reports significant changes in the patient’s physical status to the RN and/or to the medical provider
12. Supports the ART nurses to establish effective linkages and referral of patients within the outside the facility
13. Supervise community program staff and ensure achievement of targets as well as timely preparation and dissemination of reports
14. Responsible for identifying training needs, conduct capacity building for health care workers in supported health centers
15. Supports the process of developing/reviewing and adapting HIV Testing and Counseling, Blood and Injection safety, USP, PEP training curricula and other documents to meet appropriate audience

Education and Experience

University graduate in Nursing-or B.Sc. or its equivalent
MPH degree would be an added advantage
At least three years experience in HIV program management
Must be highly organized and capable of effective multi-tasking
Proficiency in computer an added advantage

POSITION DESCRIPTION

4. Job Title: Art
No of Vacancy: 1
        Reports to: Prevention Program Manager/Clinical Coordinator
        Location: Based in Anambra State

Job Summary

The ART nurse assists the clinician in ensuring smooth implementation of the ART service delivery within the facility. He/she will directly supervise the community HIV prevention programs. This position is crucial to the achievement of AHF Nigeria’s programmatic target and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In close collaboration with the facility medical officer, ensure the provision of quality, evidence based care in HCT-Prevention, ART, PMTCT, and TB of services
Provides skilled nursing procedures (i.e. dressing changes )
Administers medication as ordered within the scope of practice of the license
Performs phlebotomy and/or initiates intravenous infusions as ordered
Attends and participates in team conferences as requested

Education and Experience

University graduate in Nursing or its equivalent
At least one year post NYSC experience in HIV program management
Knowledge f minimum prevention package for Nigeria is highly essential
Must be highly organized, committed and capable of effective multi-tasking
Proficiency in computer an added advantage
