La Fayette Microfinance Bank Ltd. is expected to start the operations in December 2012. To achieve its targets, La Fayette is launching an important recruitment campaign. The first test batch will be organized before the end of June 2012.

MISSION
The IT manager is in charge of organizing the IT department, recruiting and managing the IT team, putting in place and updating procedures related to the correct management of the institution IT Tools and Systems.
- In collaboration with his team experts:
He ensures the operation and administration of the core banking system (CBS) and peripheral software (CRM, Business Intelligence).
He manages the Network System and Network infrastructures projects of the Advans network.

CORE MISSION
- Forecast mission: To prepare, in accordance with the Operational teams, the annual budgets in terms of hardware and network expansion.
- Management and production missions: In relationship with the Management Information System experts:
To ensure the operation and administration of the core banking and peripheral software (CRM, Business Intelligence);
To provide adequate training and assistance to the various users of the MIS (Management Information System);
To maintain and upgrade, if necessary, the Orbit Management Information System (CBS) in relation with the Support office Horus DF/Accra ;
To ensure the production of operational reports;
To communicate with the Accra Support office. New Functionalities & Issues resolution.
- In relationship with the Systems and Network Administrator, and the Domain Manager of Systems and IT Equipment:
To organize the computer equipment installations;
To manage purchases and installation of IT equipment (Computers, Cabling, Printers, Software),  their maintenance and renewal;
To ensure the institution network expansion;
To ensure the security of the Installations and IT Network;
To write and update IT procedures and Guides (Security & Monitoring…)

FUNCTIONAL AND DECISION ENVIRONMENT
Reports to: directly to the CEO of the ADVANS institution.
Supervises: a team of 2 to 4 persons (including eventual interim / practice)
External Relations: Suppliers, Horus MIS / Horus Support Accra
Internal Relations: Branches and Head-Office
Participation: takes part in the Management Committee of the Advans institution (depending on the current agenda), in the IT seminar gathering periodically all IT managers.

PROFILE
Experience: desired number of years and nature of experience
5 years of experience as IT manager in a company. Banking sector or Insurance is an asset;
In-depth knowledge and use experience of a Management Information System;
In-depth knowledge of database driven management systems. SQL scripting language and programming tools knowledge is required;
Basic concepts on operating systems and Network technologies.

Education and area of expertise
Engineer Diploma or Bachelor of Science in IT / Computer Science
English fluent, French is appreciated but not a requisite.

Pragmatism, organizational skills, proposition strength, autonomy, pedagogy
Possible advancement
His responsibilities will evolve with the growth of activities within the institution.
