ENGINEERING

 

TRAINEE ENGINEERS/TECHNICIANS - DS/TE 201123

 

Core Duties:

To work under the direction of an experienced engineer to gain all the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties unsupervised.

Maintain programming logs as required by station manager

Monitor strength, clarity, and reliability of incoming and outgoing signals

Minimum of second class lower or HND first degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

 

 ENGINEERING SUPERVISORS - DS/ES 201124

 

Core Duties:

Provides comprehensive engineering and supervisory support.

Supervise broadcast engineering activities and personnel in maintenance of technical and opearational standards in broadcasting signals and ensures compliance to NBC code.

Schedules engineering activities and workers based on facilities requirements.

Minimum of second Class Lower or HND First Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Should have worked in a broadcast environment continually in the last 5 years.

 

 SATELLITE TECHNICIANS/ENGINEERS - DS/STE 201125

 

Core Duties: 

Assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment

Install and repair satellite equipment

BSc or HND inElectrical/Electronics Engineering

Experience installing satellite dishes is required, knowledge of television and digital signalling

 

 PLANT OPERATORS - DS/PO 201126

 

Core duties: 

To control and operate machineries

First Degree or HND  in Mechanical/Marine/Automobile Engineering

Good analytical skills and experience in operating and maintaining diesel engines will be a bonus

 

 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICERS - DS/I.T 201127

 

Core Duties:

Provide effective and state of the art IT solutions

Installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks

Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.

BSc or HND in Computer Engineering plus certified computer professional (MCSE, CCNA)

must have good networking and troubleshooting skills.

 

 MANAGER ENGINEERING - DS/ME DS 201128

 

Core Duties:

Oversee all engineering operations and ensure compliance with Company policies

Responsible for the technology necessary to put the station’s broadcast “on-the-air” within the station

Providing quick solutions to problems that may arise with the transmitter, tower satellite receiver and other related equipment

 

Entry Requirement

First degree in Engineering

Minimum of 8 years cognate experience
