ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Under the guidance and supervision of the Head DO, the IT Associate provides functional leadership in the Management of ICT Tools and Infrastructure for the Sub-Office. S/he ensures efficient and effective ICT Services.
S/he delivers quality services in ICT Network Administration and ICT Support Services as well as deploy proactive cutting edge skills to ensure that ICT services meet the evolving needs of the Sub-Office.
S/he takes a client-oriented results-focused approach to interpreting the organizations MIS rules, procedures and guidelines in service of the country programme, providing ICT support and guidance to the Sub-Office and UNFPA supported projects.
RESULTS-ORIENTED FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT (focusing on individual contribution, engagement, communities of interest and impact of action) :
Adapts processes and procedures, anticipates and manages operational requirements of programme/project ICT infrastructural systems and processes for the Sub-Office and UNFPA supported projects.
Implements corporate systems and applications in support of ICT management and Sub-Office operations; creates systems and mechanisms for effective management of Sub-Office ICT resources. Builds capacities of UNFPA staff and partners in relevant ICT skills; proposing technologies, tools and methods to support programme delivery.
Ensures Network and Internet Connectivity and other data facilities and messaging applications.
Provides support to the analysis of programme data; template design, instrument coding, data capture, consistency checks, Analysis, tabulation plans and customized table generation as required.
Manages the development and implementation of local computer application(s) required for effective database management.
Ensures seamless introduction of specific computer hardware and software. Maintains Software Definition Library ensuring license compliance for all installed software. Harmonizes software versions and ensure compliance with UNFPA specifications.
Reviews and prepares material for common system activities relating to common UNICT services and systems, representing UNFPA in related inter-agency meetings and working groups.
Undertake any other assignments as may be required by the Head of DO, Deputy Representative and Representative.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
Academic Requirement: Successful candidates must have a First Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related Field.
EXPERIENCE
Relevant working experience of a minimum of 6 years with proficiency in IT Network Management.
LANGUAGE AND OTHER REQUIREMENT: Proficiency in written and oral English
