Onshore Fabrication Manager – Subsea Construction Contractor – Nigeria

Leap29 have recently been commissioned to source a Fabrication manager for an offshore construction Contractor to work in West Africa. The company are an emerging, fast growing operation with ambitious plans and expansion strategies. There operations include heavy lifting and pipeline services to the oil & gas industry, both onshore and offshore
The company’s clients include some of the most reputable oil and gas operators in the world and have established long lasting relationships. The company operate on a truly global level with large operations throughout SE Asia / Africa / Australia and Europe.

Responsibilities
•Organize and manage the welding and fabrication team;
•Monitor QA/QC and ensure all quality procedures are implemented and maintained;
•Prepare and advise on quotations;
•Optimize all fabrication processes and advise on work opportunities;
•Provide documentation on jobs in progress;
•Report directly to the General Manager in Nigeria
•The Fabrication Manager has the final responsibility for the Fabrication in Nigeria
•100 people working on the Fabrication yard (depending on workload)
The Requirements
• Experienced in working for the offshore subsea construction industry
• Ideally experienced working in Sub Sahara Africa – Not a prerequisite
• Substantial managerial experience in steel construction and fabrication;
• Must have hands on mentality
• Welding background - In depth experience in all facets of welding
• Leader in QA/QC and HSE issues;
• Strong and persuasive personality;
• Ambitious and looking for a challenging work environment
The Offer
A very competitive salary paid on a monthly basis
Accom + Transport + Flights + Med + Insurance
Rotation = 90 days on 21 days off
Status: Staff
Location: Nigeria, NIGERIA
Remuneration: 100000 - 150000 UK Pounds/year
