Job Description
  • To prepare, analyse, review and report MTNN financial and operational performance to external parties and contribute towards the development of accounting practices to ensure MTNN complies with the highest financial management principles and accuracy of financial records
  • To ensure prompt and accurate reporting of MTN Foundations financial performance to Management
  • To continuously review and ascertain the integrity and accuracy of information in MTNNs reports to external parties
  • Analyze operating reports for MTNN and report on variances against budgets.
  • Prepare and forecast financial statements
  • Interpret accounting/financial information in order to evaluate the financial performance of MTNN business operations.
  • Preparation of MTN Foundation financial and operational performance reports to management, analysing MTNF Operating Expense reports and report on variances against budgets.
  • Develop and manage financial management systems, policies and procedure, making appropriate recommendations for modifications and improvements.
  • Undertake financial evaluation and projection for identified MTN Foundation projects, ensuring accurate deduction of taxes and prompt rendering of returns
  • Review of accounting transactions in financial statements for compliance with IFRS
  • Monitor cross system integration between MTNN & MTNF IFS, Hyperion.
  • Undertake financial evaluations and projections for identified projects.
  • Assist with year-end audit and statutory and regulatory returns to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. Assisting with products/services review with the drafting of technical accounting opinions in accordance with IFRS
  • Ensure value is created when responding to enquiries regarding budget procedures and information from customers
  • Contribute to evaluation of management accounting systems, procedures and practices and make appropriate recommendation for modifications and improvements to stakeholders
  • Liaise with MTNF project coordinators, bankers and suppliers to ensure efficient processing and payment of transactions

Education:
  • First degree in Accounting or other Finance related discipline.
  • Fluent in English
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA).

Job Description
  • To ensure sustainable and profitable relationship with Key Accounts and Strategic Partners

Sales Support Accountant - General Ledger

Job Description
  • To coordinate the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts managed by the Sales Support & Financial Control Department
  • Ensure that payments made by Distributors are reconciled to the respective bank accounts, that distributor statements are reconciled to the general ledger and inventory sub-ledger reconciled to inventory general ledger accounts.
  • Supervise reconciliation of all Connect Store Bank Accounts, Dealer Collection Accounts and other GL accounts managed by Sales Support and Financial Control.
  • Initiate and review all requests for new General Ledger (GL) accounts from S&D and proposes GL mapping for new entries impacting General Ledger.
  • Conduct periodic review/analysis of inventory general ledger information, investigate and resolve reconciling items and adjust entries to correct errors noted.

  • Assist with ad-hoc wholesale accounting projects or assignments in support of the department.
