Job Description
- As part of the front end operations team, the Cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding guest service as per Hotel standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding Hotel's assets.
- Positively demonstrate the Hotel's Core Values by developing trust and respect among peers and management, working in teams and partnering with others through collaborative work ethics, and driving business results by placing a high priority on detail and accuracy to successfully complete all tasks
- Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a hospitable environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining
- outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and
- Operating cash register
- Cash handling
- Balancing account at the end of every shift or sells
- Accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers
- Communicate guest requests to management
- Enter all payment and funds into the tally program
- Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager
- Minimum of ND Diploma graduate or equivalent in relevant fields.
- Must speak, read. Write, and understand English Language.
- Good presentation and team worker.
- 18 - 35 years of age
- Impeachable integrity and honestly.
- Energetic, excellent work ethic, a great attitude, and a smile.
- 2 - 3 years previous hotel-related experience desired, Experience in operating hotel cash outlet office software.
- Good working knowledge of POS advice and operations
- Good awareness of all products and menu and prices
- Adaptability: coping with the diversity of guest and their needs
- Thoroughness, Sensitivity to guest: good relationship skills, Spirit of initiative, Financial awareness
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of Naira (Nigeria money)
- Excellent guest service skills, communication skills, and a happy attitude are essential.
- Cash Handling Skills.
- Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
