Job description
The RoleDue to the expansion of a number of projects in Nigeria, the company is looking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer to drive its work in the Power Sector forward. This is a unique opportunity to drive the strategy and operations of a leading Power company. The position will be based in Abuja, and will report directly to the CEO.
Your key duties will include
-Leading management with their daily organisational operations.
-Developing and implementing plans for the operational infrastructure of systems and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
-Ensuring the company maintains a strong market position and continues to provide competitive customer care.
-Developing, establishing and executing operating policies to support company goals.
-Providing reports on the operating condition of the company.
Desired Skills and Experience
Suitable ApplicantsWith a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Economics, and an MBA from an Internationally-recognised institution, candidates will have at least 10 years’ experience working in the Power industry. Candidates will be experienced in developing Electricity Tariffs, Financial Modelling and will have been responsible for at least $150million in assets.

Development Manager in Lagos, Nigeria for a Power Company.
Job description
The RoleAs a result of expansion, the company is looking to appoint a Development Manager to assist with a number of Power Plants projects they are developing. The position will be based in Lagos, and will involve developing projects from conception to commissioning. This is a permanent position and will report in to the Team Leader.
Your key duties will include
-Developing power plant projects.
-Coordinating with the Technical and Legal consultants.
-Negotiating with Government Agencies and other relevant parties.
-Evaluating EPC Contractors.
Desired Skills and Experience
Suitable ApplicantsWith a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, candidates will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Power sector, and will have managed at least 2 Power Projects from conception to commissioning. African working experience is essential. Experience negotiating PPAs, GSAs and Contracts Management is highly desirable.
