Leading hotel in Victoria Island Lagos recruiting in 4 Positions

A leading Hotel situated in Victoria Island, Lagos requires the services of the following people: Assistant Security Manager, Mechanical Engineer and Electrical Engineer. Interested applicants must possess at least HND or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field. Commercial Security Management experience and at least 10 years work experience in supervisory role with Military services, Police force or corporate organization is essential for position No.1.

1.          JOB TITLE:                             ASSISTANT SECURITY MANAGER
             REPORTING TO:                  SECURITY MANGER
Applicants must demonstrate experience in performing the following roles and responsibilities
·     Ability to provide daily direction to all security operatives and ensure adequate security operatives are to carry out requisite components of events
·     Verify that all security operatives perform their duties effectively and accurately.

·     Promote a professional environment demonstrating a consistent, positive customer service approach in all situations including professional demeanor, wearing required uniform and/or personal attire and obeying regulations to complement and enhance the public safety’s department effectiveness.
·     Ability to perform and review administration functions, includes, including security daily activity logs, lost and found, key logs, radio/pager logs, and other required reports. Maintain documentation and administer required internal training.
·     Observe and formally report any unusual incidents, violations, workplace hazards and suspicious activities in a timely, accurate and legible fashion.
·     Ensure required reports submitted by security operative are accurate and timely
·     Evaluate security operative response to Guests, Contractors and all Visitors on the premises.
·     Other related duties as assigned including leading assigned investigations and deputizing for Security.

2.          JOB TITLE:                                           ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
             REPORTING TO:                                CHIEF ENGINEER
Applicants must demonstrate experience in performing the following roles and responsibilities
·     Electrical Engineer will have working knowledge in all general electrical areas that a re commonplace in industrial facilities such as lighting, general control systems, electrical motor knowledge (AC /DC), substation maintenance, and cable systems
·     Knowledge of large power transformers, maintenance procedures and problem diagnosis regarding power transformers
·     Knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
·     Knowledge of design, operation and maintenance of power distribution systems. (600vac to 11KV)
·     Knowledge and application of heavy industrial control systems and automation, including PLC’s PC’s software programming and conventional hard wired relay systems.

3.          JOB TITLE:                                           MECHANICAL ENGINEER
             REPORTING TO:                                CHIEF ENGINEER
Applicants must demonstrate experience in performing the following roles and responsibilities  
·     Responsible for new and existing equipment and facility projects
·     Design and draft drawings or sketches for projects
·     Ability to request parts fabrication by machines shops, instruct contractors. Maintenance and/or machine shops how to demo, fabricate, build and install facilities, systems and machines
·     Modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications
·     Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components, assemblies or systems measuring instruments.


4.          JOB TITLE:                                           MECHANICAL ENGINEER
             REPORTING TO:                                EXECUTIVE HOUSE KEEPER
·     To assist the Executive Housekeeper in the general operations. of  the Department and carry out instructions as such.
·     Assist in training new employees and continuation of learning for existing employees
·     Daily inspection of all rooms to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are consistently being met and room attendants are completing tasks in timely fashion.
·     Complete and ensure Guest request for cleaning times or specifications are met in a timely manner
·     Review scheduling with Executive Housekeeper, based on demand of Hotel and properly maintain level of staffing therein.
