CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IS AN INDIGENOUS HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING AND PIPE CONSTRUCTION SERVICE COMPANY
1.            MAINTENANCE MANAGER
The suitable candidate will manage and directs the activities of the Maintenance team and coordinate them with the activities of the other units in the company for optimal maintenance and deployment of heavy duty and light equipment.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
·         Formulate effective asset maintenance management policies within the organization
·         Ensure timely maintenance of all company assets.

·         Implement a flawless preventive maintenance management program
·         Ensure that Daily maintenance activity records are maintained
·         Preparing work schedules
·         Contacting service providers and other maintenance contractors
·         Supervise the procurement of spares and other materials for optimal maintenance of the Company’s equipment in the right quantity quality and minimum cost.
·         Develop and maintain security strategies and procedures to safeguard the company’s equipment.
·         Periodic  inspection of the company’s facilities, Heavy and Light equipment
·         Participate in hiring of maintenance professionals for the company
·         Continually monitor and develop team’s performance and strategies
·         Coordinate Training and development of the maintenance team.
·         Motivating and mentoring the inexperienced staff
·         Manage and monitor the  Maintenance budget ensuring best value in all expenditure
·         Manage and monitor the performance of employees in the maintenance unit ensuring  compliance with company’s stated rules and regulations
·         Appraise the staff and motivate them as and when due.
·         Attends and actively participate during management meetings.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 12 years experience in a similar role. A higher degree in relevant field and professional qualification with hands-on experience is an advantage.

2.            SITE MANAGER
The suitable candidate will be responsible for planning and administering all Engineering and Technical operations, Designs, Plans, construction, monitoring, control, cost management, coordination and delivery of our projects. Represents Company in the field with full responsibility for the successful completion of all projects in accordance with drawings, specifications, terms of contract, budget, schedule and company policies.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
·         Represents Company in its project relationships with clients, subcontractors, local authorities and others.
·         Bears management responsibility for safety and ensures proper attention to security and environmental control during construction.
·         Delegate authority and responsibility to team members ensuring all tasks are carried out properly.
·         Is active in the overall coordination, planning, maintenance of quality, progress and cost control of the construction phase of the work. Ensures that he is kept informed in a current basis through regular meetings, timely submission of reports and personal site inspection.
·         Sees that regular meetings are held with client and that they are kept properly informed under the contract.
·         Assures the maintenance of harmonious relations between all parties on the job.
·         Ensures that timely and accurate reports are made to the client and home office.
·         Overseeing maintenance requirements to optimize efficiency
·         Liaising with marketing, research and manufacturing managers regarding engineering aspects of new construction and product design
·         May contribute to research and development projects

Qualifications

Education and /or Experience
B.Sc. in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University and at least minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience. A higher degree in relevant field and professional qualification with hands-on experience in construction site is an advantage.
