Action Against Hunger (ACF) is recruiting to fill the position of:

ASSISTANT BASE LOGISTICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE 1: SUPPORT THE BASE LOG IN MANAGEMENT OF LOGISTICS SUPPLY CHAIN
Follow up for the receipt, storage, accounting and reporting of all items received and stored in the warehouse(s) in collaboration with the store keeper.
Assist the store keeper, prepare and supervise loading, offloading and ensure all documents are duly filled and signed
Develop a monthly planning of purchase;
Ensure best available prices and quality of the items

Follow the stock management (storage conditions, report, expiration date)
Assist in managing the warehouse
Conduct physical stock counts of the capital warehouse every two months
Ensure all paperwork related to the warehouse is in order
Distribute Quotation request to suppliers.
Purchase requested items With the validation from log base

OBJECTIVE 2: SUPPORT LOG BASE IN MANAGEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION MEANS.
Ensure the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment;
Update the list of equipment on monthly basis;
Manage the data backup system of the base.

OBJECTIVE 3: MANAGE THE TEAM:
Draw up daily, weekly and Monthly work plan for head driver and storekeeper
Delegate the activities and check that they are executed properly;
Supervise the storekeeper and head driver
Provide technical support to the team as necessary.

OBJECTIVE 4: FLEET:
Assist in making the driver schedule
Monitor the service requirements of the fleet and inform the capital logistics team of vehicles that are due for servicing
Help in arranging the transportation of goods from the capital office to the field bases.

OBJECTIVE 5: SECURITY:
Provide technical support to the team as necessary.
Manage and supervised the Guards.
Archiving of PDs and other logistics documents.
Ensure that all guards, internal and contracted, report to their duty stations punctually and remain there until relieved by other guards; and that the office and other ACF houses are not left unattended at any time
Ensure that all houses have proper locks.
Ensures the guards maintain a log book of each visitors, personnel and vehicle movements.
Receive daily reports from guards taking note of any irregular occurrences in these locations and report to the log base.
Get to change locks regularly in all houses so as to limit the number of people with knowledge on access keys.

OBJECTIVE 6: GENERAL LOGISTICS SUPPORT
Assist in operational management of base procurement
Assist in monitoring the application of logistic procedures on base
Participation in defining and improving logistical procedures
Assist in the preparation of external audits
Go through all Purchase Dossiers on record to ensure correct filing procedure
Analyze the Procurement Follow Up to ensure correct data entry

QUALIFICATION
National Diploma (OND) in Business Management or any other equivalent course

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
IT/Excel literate.
2 years finance/Procurement work experience.

Assistant Food Security & Livelihoods Coordinator

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist FSL Coordinator to refine the FSL Strategy, develop programming and an operational plan of action for the Nigeria mission
Assist FSL Coordinator to oversee field teams to ensure compliance, technical quality and coherence FSL Interventions
Recruitment, capacity building and coaching of national personnel
Contribute to the tracking and reporting of technical activities
Actively participate in internal & external coordination within the technical sector at the county and state level
Ensure proper and timely implementation of PQA activities

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
University Degree preferred in FSL related studies, e.g. agro-economy, natural resource management, economics.
Two years relevant work experience
Experience in managing multi sector teams
Humanitarian and development capacity
Experience in multi-sector and participatory assessments and data collection tools.
Ability to analyze and synthesize
Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills (English).

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Experience in humanitarian PQA or M&E.
Skills on statistical and other software (SPSS, SPHINX, STATA, EPI Info, ENA for SMART, GIS, etc.)
Familiarity with Management Information Systems (Databases) and GIS.
Local Languages (i.e. Hausa) are highly valued.
