Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNI) is a
non-profit organization that promotes socio economic development by supporting
global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. It was established as an affiliate
of the Family Health International (FHI360) to sustain FHI’s achievements in
strengthening indigenous organizational capacity in Nigeria. AHNI currently has
its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. To strengthen our operations in the
country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

The technical
Officer-Monitoring & Evaluation will help to provide technical support
to the implementation of high quality services with primary focus on areas
related monitoring and evaluation of program strategies and approaches related
to program implementation. Coordinates the design and implementation of
components related to monitoring and evaluation related activities.
He / she provides
technical support to all aspects of monitoring and evaluation and capacity
building related M & E best practices to field programs. Represent AHNI at
meetings, workshops and seminars related to M&E issues. Ensure the quality
of program/project.
Minimum Recruitment standards:
-
MPH or similar degree with 3-5 years relevant
experience in monitoring and evaluation in reproductive health or HIV/AIDS
programs or related field (a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with
additional experience)

Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health
systems and NGOs and CBOs is desirable
-
Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills
and familiarity with USAID/CDC programs preferred
The Assistant
Technical Officer-Monitoring & Evaluation will discharge his / her
assignment under the guidance of the Technical Officer. She/he will enter
program data into the AHNI data management software for subsequent analysis;
will identify and follow - up missing data; undertake basic validation checks,
store and disseminate data and hardcopy files as appropriate; she/he will keep
track of received data and source documents; will prepare and sort source
documents, identify and interpret data to be entered amongst other duties.
Minimum Recruitment standards:

B.Sc. in Statistics, Pharmacy, Microbiology,
Monitoring and Evaluation or in relevant degree with 1 year relevant experience
in monitoring and evaluation or data management

Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health
systems and NGOs and CBOs is desirable

Knowledge in project-level or
state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation
-
Knowledge of Nigerian clinical settings,
including government and non-government settings
The Technical
Officer-Clinical Services will provide technical support to implement high
quality care and support ti implement high quality care and management of
HIVAIDS and Prevention of Mother to child Transmission of HIV/AIDS clinical
management including management of opportunistic infections and PMTCT capacity
building to all facilities benefiting from the program.
Minimum Recruitment Standards:

MBBS/MPH with 1-3 years experience in clinical
care, with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of anti-retroviral
therapy in resource constraint settings
·
Post graduate degree in Public Health is
desirable
·
Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health
system and NGOs and CBOs will be an added advantage
The Assistant Technical Officer- Clinical Services will
under the direct supervision and technical guidance from the Technical
Officer-Clinical Services will provide technical and programmatic support to
implement high quality care and support activities with primary focus on
clinical management of HIV/AIDS, TB, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission
of HIV/AIDS, reproductive health/family planning (RH/FP) and integrated medical
services at the state and local government levels
Minimum Recruitment Standards:

MBBS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 1-3 years
relevant experience in clinical care, with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS
with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy in resource constraint
settings
·
Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in
a related field is required.
·
Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health
system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable
