State Program Manager, Program Officer, Bookkeeper at Partners for Development (PFD)

Vacancies: State Program Manager, Program Officer, Bookkeeper

Overview: Partners for Development (PFD) is an international non-profit organization with a mission to work with undeserved populations to improve quality of life. PFD is implementing an Expanded Access to Services for Agricultural Enterprises (EASE) Project funded through USAID, and is seeking candidates for the following positions in Sokoto



Position: State Program Manager - The position will be based in Sokoto, Sokoto State with travel necessary. The successful applicant will report to PFD Country Program Director.



Key Responsibilities:

The State Program Manager will direct, execute, monitor and supervise all projects (programmatic and financial) in PFD’s Sokoto field office. S/he will ensure that project meets expectations as well as objectives of donor, PFD and partners (including microfinance institutions and other community-based groups) and constructively engage state-level stakeholders, particularly the government



Qualifications:

A degree in social sciences and minimum level of five (5) years experience in a development related field of which two (2) years must be in a management position.
Previous work experience with international organizations and knowledge of USAID, USDA and other international donors will be of advantage.
Strong leadership, communication/writing and analytical skills are desired.


Position: Program Officer- The position will be based in Sokoto, Sokoto State with travel necessary. The successful applicant will report to the State Program Manager.



Key Responsibilities:



The Program Officer will oversee field level implementation of the project in line with PFD’s guidelines to ensure overall objectives of PFD’s project activities are achieved. S/he will execute the completion of the project according to set standards and in line with project schedule ,




Qualifications:

A degree in agriculture or social sconces and minimum of three (3) years previous experience within a programming department of a development agency.
Strong communication, including computer literacy as well as writing skills are desired.


Position: Bookkeeper - The position will be based in Sokoto, Sokoto State and reports to the State Program Manager.





Key responsibilities:

The Bookkeeper will provide financial and accounting support to PFD’s Sokoto State program and its partners in the implementation of the project, S/he will maintain financial records and prepare and submit financial reports.


Qualifications:

A degree or higher national diploma in accounting and minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in a development agency.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
Knowledge of QuickBooks will be added advantage.
