The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s Headquarters, Ibadan.

Position: Power House Operator II
Contract: 3 year renewable contract
Location: Ibadan

Duties

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
Ensure smooth daily operation of all powerhouse equipment
Assist in general maintenance of all electrical equipment in the power house including panels and switches;
Operate/maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment in the powerhouse including Generations, High Voltage panels, Ring Main Units (RMU), Tripping Units, High Voltage Underground cables, high voltage and low voltage Circuit breakers;
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification
ND, Trade Test II, Artisan Certificate in Electrical Engineering

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience

Competencies
Knowledge of power house equipment
Pay attention to details and must be a team player
Be able to follow instructions

Position: Power House Operator III (2 Positions)
Contract: 3 year renewable contract
Location: Ibadan

Duties

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
Ensure smooth daily operation of all powerhouse equipment
Assist in general maintenance of all electrical equipment in the power house including panels and switches;
Operate/maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment in the powerhouse including Generations, High Voltage panels, Ring Main Units (RMU), Tripping Units, High Voltage Underground cables, high voltage and low voltage Circuit breakers;
Receive AGO for all functioning equipment
Assist powerhouse mechanics to carry out repairs on all mechanical equipments in charge of powerhouse
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Position: Equipment Operator III
Contract: 3 year renewable contract
Location: Ibadan

Duties

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
Ensure smooth daily operation of all powerhouse equipment
Ensure the right lubricant mix of powerhouse equipment
Operate/maintain both mechanical and electrical equipment in the powerhouse including Generations, High Voltage panels, Ring Main Units (RMU), Tripping Units, High Voltage Underground cables, high voltage and low voltage Circuit breakers;
Assist powerhouse mechanics to carry out repairs on all mechanical equipments in charge of powerhouse
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Position: Mechanic III

Duties

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
Maintain and operate heavy generators in the Power house
Maintain and operate Ring Man Units (RMUs);
Maintain circuit breakers and other related equipment in the Power House
Receive AGO for all functioning equipment
Ensure the right lubricant mix of the powerhouse equipment
Perform any duty  as may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

ND, Trade Test I, Artisan Certificate in Electrical Engineering

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience

Competencies

Knowledge of power house equipment
Pay attention to details and must be a team player
Be able to follow instructions
