Finance and Administration Director at John Snow Incorporated (JSI)

John Snow Incorporated (JSI) is a public health research and technical assistant firm dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the world. It manages the USAID/DELIVER PROJECT and the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project in the Nigeria office.

We are recruiting to fill the below position:

Position : Director for Finance and Administration

Descriptions

AIDSFree is implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. with partners Abt Associates, Inc., Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, EnCompass LLC, IMA World Health, The
International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Jhpiego Corporation, and PATH.
The position is full-time and will be based at the project office in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Strengthening High Impact Interventions for an AIDS-free Generation (AIDSFree) Project is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development under Cooperative Agreement AID-OAA-14-000001.
AIDSFree supports and advances implementation of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief by providing capacity development and technical support to USAID missions, host-country governments, and HIV implementers at the local, regional, and national level. AIDSFree is is currently interviewing candidates for a Nigeria based Finance & Administrative Director.

Responsibilities

Hire, supervises and coordinates financial and administrative staff.
Develops approaches to contain costs, improve cost effectiveness and streamline financial management
Ensures compliance with USAID procedures and regulations
Assists Country Director with daily program management as part of the senior management team
Oversees all aspects of the Nigeria program's financial and administrative operations.
Supervises financial and administrative staff
Provides oversight of procurement of equipment and commodities

Qualifications

Preferred previous work experience for an international NGO
Previous administrative experience with USAID funded projects
Bachelor's of Science or equivalent
At least 7-10 years of field-based financial management experience
Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
Experience in large, complex organizations
Excellent team-work and team-building skills
Remuneration
Commensurate with experience.

Starting Date
8th October, 2015.
