Job Title: Senior Manager, Solutions Development

Job Description
Provide focus and support (within the Enterprise Solutions Division) for Enterprise Sales team, enabling the achievement of set strategic objectives.
Provide technical selling skills to assist the Enterprise Sales Team in attracting and retaining customers.
Monitor the requirements for and implementation of Enterprise Network Solutions and providing 1st line technical support to the customer.
Ensure timely planning, design, approval, and deployment of appropriate technology solutions for MTN Enterprise Network Solutions Clients.
Provide input to Network Group rollout strategy regarding future path for growing Enterprise Solutions related business.
Coordinate the deployment of Enterprise Network Solutions to MTN Clients.
Manage contract (Tenders, Evaluation, Contract Negotiation and Renewal) for outsourced services.
Lead trials/evaluation of technical solutions and equipment in order to determine suitability for MTNN Enterprise Network Solutions network.
Research new technology specialist solutions and keep abreast of market developments, identifying solution path and technologies to ensure NGN capabilities on all deployed Enterprise Solutions.
Recommend tools (software, hardware) deemed necessary for procurement by the Chief Enterprise Solutions Officer .
Interact very closely with the all other departments/contractors within and outside MTN to ensure timely delivery and above KPI performance of Enterprise Network Solutions.
Coach and train subordinates to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs and make recommendations to the CTO for approval.
Job Condition
Normal MTN working conditions
May be required to work extended hours
National traveling to Client locations and into various hinterlands.
Additional working time is usually required on an impromptu basis.
A valid driver’s license
Experience & Training
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 12 yrs experience, including minimum of 3years at managerial level in a similar capacity in a first rate Telecommunications company
Extensive project management experience
Experience of new technology deployment in fixed mobile telecommunications environment.
Good understanding of fixed and mobile network technologies (voice, data and internet), architecture.
A sound understanding of the operation of MTN Project Methodology and CAPEX Processes
Training:
Project Management Training, leading to PMP and or Prince II certification
Technology Seminars/workshops
Overseas OTJ training
Management training
Business Planning
Financial Evaluations and business feasibility reporting
Financial Management
Negotiation, Pricing
Minimum qualification:
