PhD STUDENTSHIPS IN WEST AFRICA :
MEDICAL RESEARCH COUNCIL UNIT THE
GAMBIA
The Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia invites applications, from
African and UK
citizens only, for its full-time PhD studentships in one of the project areas
outlined below:
1.
Studies to
characterise the immunological response to the inactivated poliovirus vaccine
(IPV) when given by the intramuscular and intradermal route and when given
using needle-free jet-injection devices
2.
Epidemiology
of disease caused by staphylococcus aureus in the Gambia
The studentships will start in October 2014, and will be full-time for
three years, involving collaboration with the Medical Research Council Unit The
Gambia and a UK
institution. Full financial support will be provided.
