Job Description
To drive the growth of the Capital Market Operators, Stockbroker, MFBs, PMIs industries deposit liabilities and risk assets in the Bank for optimal profitability
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Primary role is to grow the assets and liabilities of the Financial Institutions Department in general and in the Capital Market Operators, Stockbroker, MFBs, PMIs industries in particular
- Responsibility for the performance of the Unit and its members
- Ensure the deepening of existing customer names in the Bank’s books
- Generate new business in the target market
- Set up new revenue streams by exploring new market niches and introducing new products
- Develop strategies to attend to customer complaints as to foster customer retention and attend to all correspondences pertaining to the Unit
- Regularly appraise the activities and functions of the Unit and make recommendations for improvement to the Department Head and Divisional Head
- Perform other duties as assigned by DH, Treasury
- Revenue of the Department as measured by Fincon
- Business volume growth rate: Deposit and Loans
- Percentage [%] of variance in budgeted revenue
- Quality of credit portfolio
- Number of new insurance and Pension Funds companies relationships won within the period
- Customer satisfaction index
- Numbers of Account lost within the period
- Numbers of complaints received on the accounts during the period
- Satisfactory Audit reports
- Zero sanctions from routine regulatory examinations, audits, spot checks
A good first degree in any discipline.
Post Graduate Qualifications:
Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
Professional Qualifications:
ACCA, ICAN, CIIN, CITN and/or CFA as well as SEC Certification will be an added advantage

- Carry out the day-to-day sales of treasury products (Currencies and Fixed Income) to all target market clients

- Post transactions and update trading blotters
- Monitor product performance and recommend amendments for revenue maximisation
- Stay abreast of all market developments in order to take appropriate trading decisions
