Reporting Relationship:
The Deputy Contracts Manager reports to the Contract Manager.
Key Interfaces:
- Project Teams (Director /Managers / others);
- Project Services / Control;
- Finance Department.
- Draft Letters for contractual issues for Project Director / Manager;
- Ensures that all the documents forming the Contract are made available and handed over to the proper function(s)in accordance with the applicable procedures;
- Ensures that contractual information used by the Project Team is accurate and up-to-date;
- Ensures proper filing of contractual information and documents;
- Ensures the above activities also in respect of documents and information regarding ancillary contractual documents, such as agreements with partners, confidentiality agreements, licence agreements, affidavits, power of attorneys;
- Advises the Project Director / Manager on aspects of the Project execution which deviate from the requirements of the Contract;
- Manages change orders process from identification to resolution of change: prepares and coordinates any claims against or from the Client, Consortium partners and subcontractors; obtains technical, scheduling and pricing elements from relevant disciplines of the Project; under the direction of the Project Manager, submits, answers and negotiates change order requests and claims / counterclaims; keeps updated records and files of all change orders and claims;
- As a support to Finance function checks that the milestones completion notices and other documents required for payment meet the contractual requirements;
- Ensures in liaison with competent corporate functions that required insurance coverage is timely put in place and that required insurance certificates are provided / obtained from vendors, subcontractors and JV partners;
- Assists the Project Director / Manager whenever a loss and/or damage falling under an insurance programme occurs. Subsequently follows up the evolution of the loss, providing support for the orderly build-up of the documentary evidence to be used to substantiate the Insurance Claim and attending the negotiations with the loss adjust in conjunction with the relevant Insurance Function;
- Ensures that contractual and legal matters affecting Project execution are properly addressed, with the support of the relevant disciplines of the Project, and requires mobilisation of other supporting functions;
- In co-ordination with the Project Director / Manager, attempts amicable resolution of disputes with client, partners and subcontractors. Provides support to the Litigation Department in case of Legal Proceedings or Arbitration;
- Ensures regular reporting, in accordance with applicable procedures and internal instructions, on major aspects of the Project, in particular on the status of progress, payments, change orders, claims, bank guarantees, bonds and retentions, parent company guarantees.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Identify oil rate enhancement opportunities
- Work with office based and field staff to successfully implement production enhancement projects and initiatives
- Review and analyse plant process performance on a regular basis and identify de-bottlenecking and plant optimisation improvements
- Apply new techniques, technology and equipment to increase oil production from existing assets
- Provide training and guidance to engineers and technical assistants as necessary.
- Identify solutions, by interpreting reservoir data with asset team in order to improve reservoir productivity.
- Develop an integrated asset model using Gap / Prosper modelling tools.
- Lead production planning efforts within the Operations department and interfacing with Asset Management and Facilities Departments as required.
- Manage production accounting assuring that all production reports are delivered to internal and external customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in conceptual design studies.
- Provide Production input at Factory acceptance testing and FEED Documents.
- Provide Production input at all Hazops and Hazids.
- Take responsibility for the integration of Production requirements within engineering design, and implementation of the required Operational Procedures into future oil and gas facilities.
- Provide answers for all technical queries from engineering group.
- Attend Project and other relevant meetings.
- Update current operational procedures for all assets.
- Incident free production operations in both planning, design and implementation of production optimization projects
- Meet or exceed production projections and within budget.

Offshore Structural Engineer - Nigeria - Long term contract

▪ Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Structural Lead, related with structural analyses, design, verification or study activities
▪ Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers
▪ Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem
Responsibilities:
The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE
requirements
His tasks include:
▪ Review Client technical documentation and requirements
▪ Contribute in defining structural design premises
▪ Contribute to the writing of the Project Structural Design Brief (roadmap of all the structural design and analyses work on
the project)
▪ Liaise with other Project Specialists and Designers whenever required for a proper completion of the work assigned
▪ Design structural systems and components, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in term of
costs, fabrication simplicity, constructability and safety
▪ Carry out/Check/Supervise structural analyses
▪ Supervise/Approve steel structures design drawings
▪ Supervise setting up of bill of quantities or material take off (MTO)
▪ Prepare, when required, specifications for structural fabrications and all related items such as bearing systems, bolts,
cladding, grating, etc.
▪ Verify structural strength or dynamic behavior of items designed by others (piping support Specialists, Vendors, technical
building Suppliers, etc.)
▪ Apply the Quality Control Procedure of the Offshore Structural Department during the work assigned
▪ Implement field engineering activities
▪ Write design reports and calculation notes
