SENIOR ANALYST (RESEARCH)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Act as Industry Specialist on the industry assigned to him/her. This will include preparing an Industry Report on this industry within the deadline agreed with the Research Manager and keeping abreast of developments in the industry.

• Act as Macro Specialist on the Nigerian economy and other economies that may be specified from time to time.



• Act as primary and secondary specialist on client specific industry research assignments.

• Provide on the job training to other analysts


SCOPE OF WORK:

• Track assigned industries by reviewing all media.

• Obtaining financial information on industry operators.

• Gathering economic information as assigned by the Research Manager.

• Gathering political information as assigned by the Research Manager.

• Understanding macro-economic environment of (Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana at a minimum).

• Understanding the key industries in the real sector that Agusto & Co. tracks.

• Understanding Agusto & Co.’s Research Methodology.

• Conducting surveillance work on industry operators.

• Preparing Industry Reports.

• Preparing quarterly Macro Reviews on Nigeria and any other economy assigned.

• Preparing other research reports.

• Facilitating Industry seminar

• Acting as back up to other analysts

• Acting as back to Research Manage



QUALIFICATIONS /REQUIREMENTS:

At least 5 years cognate experience in research and analysis reporting from the financial services sector

• A good first degree

• An Msc or MBA. Public accounting qualification may be added advantage

• Excellent communicator

• Strong presentation skills

• Team management skills
