Job Description

Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform regular security monitoring and upgrade the systems with required security patches.
Ability to effectively partner/collaborate/knowledge-share with other staff and customers.
Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for Cloud Servers, Virtual Infrastructure (VM) systems, software, and clients in conjunction with end users and department managers

Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement VM systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
Analyze VM application usage to support long-term strategy and network capacity and/or licensing
With some guidance… architect, plan, and implement various solutions utilizing theCloudplatforms.
Experience on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure systems (VMware / Microsoft)
Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in DNS, DHCP, Group Policy configuration, Active Directory is a must
Good knowledge about enterprise storage technologies and architecture
Familiarity with network infrastructure
Familiarity with Backup software and strategies

Company Description

We are a company supplying ICT services within the Oil & Gas Industry based in Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria. We are looking for aNigerian National, ideally from the Rivers Statewho has 4+ years experience as aSystems Engineer.
As a member of the Information Systems team you will be responsible for providing architectural, administrative and disaster recovery level support for a predominantly Windows based environment.  Platforms include, but are not limited to… MS Exchange, Active Directory, WSUS, antivirus software and sales force, and citrix.  Duties will be executed in a datacenter/Service provider type environment.
