Unique Corporate Finance Opportunity.
We are a financial market’s service institution committed to building a highly talented and creative workforce where our staff can thrive and be rewarded well for performance. Currently, we intend to create a team of self-driven corporate finance professional to join our business development team.
The Business Development Team
Develops and implements marketing, sales and branding strategies to promote our products and services effectively. The team will prospect, establish and sustain client relationships with corporate and public sector institutions as well as institutional investors at senior executive management levels.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial services industry, especially knowledge of equities and/or fixed income instruments and show demonstrable business development skills and previous experience of selling financing packages to medium sized and big companies. The candidate will be capable of researching prospective clients’ needs, initiating and driving client executive meetings and developing a sales pipelines. He/she will personally have a self-accounting entrepreneur’s drive to understand and communicate our offerings, new developments product and service road – maps, to the customer.
Skill requirements
1. At least five years in a business development oriented, consultative selling or investment banking role. Experience with medium sized enterprises to large multination’s is preferable.
2. Excellent relationship development and maintenance skills
3. Superior writing editing, public speaking and presentation skills to be able to succinctly describes complex financial structures and products
4. Ability to perform as a credible research resource to the senior management team
5. An individual who exhibits sound and timely decision – making
6. Solid quantitative skills to support thorough understanding of financial data
7. Proficiency in MS Office applications and an ability to learn our proprietary software
Educational Requirements
Undergraduate degrees in a Business discipline, Mathematics or Law are desirable.
Additional professional certifications such as ACS, ACA, CFA or an MBA are a strong plus.
TERMS OF ENGAGEMENTS
A six (6) month contract position with the option of extension and subsequent permanent engagement. Occasional travel both within and outside Nigeria may be required.
Desired start date is as soon as possible.
