Our Client, a leading Oil & Gas contractor has the requirement for a Construction Supervisor - based in West Africa. Purpose / Role
• To read, understand and implement the Company’s HSEQ policy and the arrangements described in the Company Management Systems document.
• To lead a multi-disciplined construction team in delivering the workscope in accordance with the applicable specifications, procedures, etc that apply and in a safe and efficient manner within the planned target dates.
• Senior supervisory role maintaining safe systems of work, reporting on progress, resolution of workforce HSE issues, etc.
• Act as senior Company representative.
Key aims and objectives
• To ensure that all project/company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
• Ensure that all personnel are aware of/implement safe working practices/procedure and are provided with a safe working environment.
• Ensure all work is prepared and executed in accordance with both Company and Client processes and procedures.
Prime responsibilities and duties
• Safety leadership.
• Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical standards and specifications.
• Lead and manage a multi-discipline construction team.
• Understand construction/commissioning activities and methods.
• Understand client PTW / TRA processes.
• Execute construction activities.
• Prepare resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan. This to include the necessary tooling and temporary requirements which are to be managed and controlled in a cost-effective manner.
• Input and support to daily and weekly planning schedules and co-ordination meetings.
• Involvement with the management of and input to shutdown planning.
• Co-ordinate the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources.
• Ensure personnel are competent to perform their work.
• Review and execute construction plans.
• Act as a co-ordinator for administrative duties, etc to ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
• Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Occasional duties
• Deputise for Construction Manager.
• Participate and contribute to Emergency Response process and procedure.
• Participate and contribute to personal development programme.
• Practice fully the requirement for total safety attitudes in all operations.
• Support CoP Leader as required.
