REPORTS TO : Offsite Superintendent

LOCATION : Nigeria – Site – OML 58

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

􀂾 Responsible for supervision of pipelines and flow lines construction activities at OML 58 Upgrade Phase 1 sites / Right of

Ways to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications / IFC drawings.

􀂾 Reporting to Construction Leader on activities.



MAIN ACTIVITIES :

􀂾 Supervise contractor’s pipelines / flow lines construction and installation works to ensure that scope of works is achieved in

accordance with approved work methodology.

􀂾 Supervise works associated with the pipelines / flow lines installation: survey and boundary re opening, ditching, welding

and lowering, field joint coating, cathodic protection, pre-commissioning activities (cleaning/gauging, hydrotest and line

drying), etc; to ensure Contractors compliance to approved work procedures.

􀂾 Coordinate with Operations to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and ensure integrity of existing pipelines / flow

lines along the Right of Way.

􀂾 Coordinate with OML 58 Upgrade Community Relations Officer on community concerns or issues on the pipeline Right of

Way during the works.

􀂾 Involvement in the Permit to Work preparation, to ensure that activities are well organized, and to avoid any delay due to

the PTW process.

􀂾 Review and analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; to avoid interference of offsite

activities with on-plot activities especially at the battery limits; review and approve progress for discipline related activities.

􀂾 Review resources, manpower and equipment performance / availability and general standard of works.

􀂾 Be proactive at anticipation of problems related to the works; articulate necessary actions, and to inform hierarchy.

􀂾 Comment on contractor documents: Method Statement, Procedures, etc, in due time.

􀂾 Ensure that approved site modifications are implemented and documented for as-built.

􀂾 Lead any site verification or survey in his discipline and coordinate reporting of result.

􀂾 Provide input into mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

􀂾 Interface with other discipline (fiber optic, QC, Operations, etc) during the works, tie-ins and completion, to ensure works

coordination, installation conformity checks and verifications.



􀂾 HSEQ responsibilities :

− Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives.

− Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and specifications)

− Attend HSEQ meetings and training when required

− Participate in Job Safety Analysis and make safety suggestions

− Report any unsafe acts or conditions observed



OTHER ACTIVITIES :

􀂾 Attend Projects meetings as and when required.

􀂾 Ensure accurate reporting of his activities within the Company organization.



REQUIRED COMPETENCES AND BACKGROUND:

􀂾 Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Engineering

􀂾 Experience: Successful candidate should have 10 to 15 years cognate experience in Oil & Gas facilities / pipelines &

flow lines installations and pre-commissioning.

􀂾 Skills: Ability to work in difficult terrain. Should have good interpersonal and communication skills.
