REPORTS TO : Offsite Superintendent

LOCATION : Nigeria – Site – OML58

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

􀂾 Responsible for supervision of contractor’s Fiber Optic works at OML 58 Upgrade Project Phase 1 sites, well locations, right

of ways, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

􀂾 Reporting to Construction Leader on activities.



MAIN ACTIVITIES :

􀂾 Supervise contractor’s fiber optics lines installation with particular attention to the various crossings, termination and precommissioning

tests activities and ensure that work is achieved in accordance with approved work methodology.

􀂾 Ensure adherence to programmed installation schedule and industry best practice for materials handling, paying particular

attention to cable splicing operations.

􀂾 Coordinate with Operations for interfaces during fiber optic termination, and ensure compliance with SIMOPS

requirements.

􀂾 Involvement in the Permit to Work preparation, in order to make sure the activity is well organized, so as to avoid any delay

due to PTW processing.

􀂾 Review and analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities.

􀂾 Review and approve progress for discipline related activities.

􀂾 Review resources, manpower and equipment performance / availability and general standard of works.

􀂾 Be proactive at anticipation of problems in his discipline; articulate necessary actions, and inform his hierarchy.

􀂾 Comment on contractor documents: Method Statement, Procedures, etc, in due time.

􀂾 Ensure that approved site modifications are implemented and documented for as-built.

􀂾 Lead any site verification or survey in his discipline and coordinate reporting of result.

􀂾 Ensure that specific project requirement, specification, issue relating to his discipline is passed to the team, and that

prescribed actions are clarified.

􀂾 Interface with other discipline (pipeline / flow lines, cathodic protection, production, etc) during works, termination and

completion, to ensure work coordination, installation conformity and verifications.



􀂾 HSEQ responsibilities :

− Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives.

− Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and specifications)

− Attend HSEQ meetings and training when required

− Participate in Job Safety Analysis and make safety suggestions

− Report any unsafe acts or conditions observed



OTHER ACTIVITIES :

􀂾 Attend Projects meetings as and when required.

􀂾 Ensure accurate reporting of his activities within the Company organization.



REQUIRED COMPETENCES AND BACKGROUND:

􀂾 Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Instrumentation / Telecoms Engineering

􀂾 Experience: 10 to 15 years cognate experience in Oil & Gas Instrumentation / ICSS facilities installations.

􀂾 Possess very good knowledge of fiber optic handling, installation, termination and pre-commissioning.

􀂾 Skills: Ability to work in difficult terrain, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
