Aldelia Limited recruiting Operations manager


Our client, who is a major player in the Energy sector, is currently looking for an Operations Manager.
The Operation Manager bears responsibility for all related operation issues including the project management monitoring (from preparation phase (identification and mobilisation of resources) to the project execution phase, including follow up of schedule, contract, control of delivered services, reporting, communication customer interfacing, management of Project Managers on ground). The main activities will include:

-Manage project operations in the field
-Monitor the Project Managers including:
*Identify, understand the project’s objectives and participate in the planning
*Identify, mobilize and manage human and material required resources to achieve the objectives (this include assessment and preparation of needs for future projects execution)
*Manage and control the services provided by subcontractors
*Ensure the conformity of project execution with the terms of the contract and that execution is
performed within the scope of work

*Ensure the project is delivered within the adequate terms of budget, time schedule
*Manage A, B, C inspections from the preparation phase to the service delivery (including action plan, resources identification and technical assessment, preparation of support services on site, and execution of the inspection)
*Manage risk associated issues by identifying the risks , proposing solutions and implementing
them
*Communication : participate in project meetings, communicate with the customers and report to
each related entity accordingly
*Maintain and improve relationships with the customers
*Issue a weekly report on each project progress
*Provide inputs for the project reviews
*Identify new opportunitie
*Ensure all Technical, EHS and security standards are compliant on the projects

Organization and profile

The Operation Manager will report to Country Manager, and will be mainly based in Port Harcourt but will have to travel on other sites if required; you should have a minimum of 8 years experience in project management in addition to an engineering background.

The candidate should have a good knowledge of issues related to Project Management in complex environment. Able to work with the minimum means, he should be versatile and able to propose solutions despite tight time schedule to achieve the project against a background of anticipation and processes.


You should have v good and adaptable communicating and interpersonal skills, be able to work in an international environment under pressure and be keen to work on a team.
The candidate must be highly available and when necessary able to work out of schedule when project related emergency issues occur.
A past working experience in Nigeria is highly recommended
A job description and details of the remuneration package can be sent on request. The rotation is 10 weeks on and 3 weeks on, but can be negotiable.


 Required Skill
An engineering background in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
8 Years experience in a simular role
