Principal Process Engineer

Description

Job Objective:
To provide process engineering expertise to aid in the execution of the Company’s onshore and offshore projects and ongoing operations.
Department: Facilities Engineering
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Duties:
• To act as a focal point/technical authority for process engineering questions throughout all phases of engineering design, construction and offshore installation, commissioning and operation
• Provide engineering calculations for piping and crude oil separation systems including line sizing, vessel sizing, hydraulic studies, duty requirements, retention and settlement times, etc.
• To provide process engineering input to other disciplines to assure that design outputs are consistent.
• To provide input to Front End/Conceptual Engineering studies with respect to process aspects of design
• To act as Company authority for the review of Design Bases, design drawings, specifications, etc.
• To act as the Company Representative (process) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes
• To monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions related to process design.
• To assist Company Resident and/or Project Engineers with the process engineering aspects of Facilities design.
• To initiate and coordinate tasks needed for project execution
• To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
• To assist in the development Nigerian process engineers

Education Qualification:
University Engineering Degree (Process, Chemical) – 2nd Class Honours

Experience:
• Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
• Minimum fifteen (15) years in process engineering for both onshore and offshore projects
• Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
• Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) years

Principal Piping Engineer

Job Objective:
To provide piping engineering expertise to aid in the execution of the Company’s onshore and offshore projects.
Department: Facilities Engineering
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Duties:
• To act as a focal point/technical authority for piping engineering throughout all phases of engineering design, construction, offshore installation and commissioning
• To provide piping engineering input to other disciplines to assure that design outputs are consistent.
• To act as Company authority for the review of Design Bases, design drawings, specifications, etc.
• To act as required as the Company representative (piping) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes
• To monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions related to piping design.
• To assist Company resident and/or project engineers with the piping engineering aspects of Facilities design.
• To assist construction and commissioning teams with field questions encountered during installation
• To initiate and coordinate tasks needed for project execution
• To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
• To assist in the development Nigerian piping engineers


Education Qualification:
University Engineering Degree (Mechanical related) – 2nd Class Honours (min)

Experience:
• Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience on offshore and onshore projects within the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
• Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) years





Principal Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Job Objective:
To provide instrumentation & controls expertise to aid in the execution of the Company’s onshore and offshore projects.
Department: Facilities Engineering
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Duties:
• To act as a focal point/technical authority for instrumentation & control engineering throughout all phases of engineering design, construction, offshore installation and commissioning.
• Review Design Bases, design drawings, specifications, etc.
• To act as required as the Company representative (instrumentation & electrical) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes
• To monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions related to instrumentation & controls design.
• To assist Company resident and/or project engineers with the instrumentation & control engineering aspects of Facilities design.
• To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
To provide input to Front End/Conceptual Engineering studies with respect to instrumentation & control design aspects

Education Qualification:
Minimum of 2nd class honours University Engineering Degree (Instrumentation or other relevant subject)

Experience:
• Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience on offshore and onshore projects within the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
• Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) years.

• To act as the Company representative (electrical) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes.
• To monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions related to electrical design.
• To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
• To provide input to Front End/Conceptual Engineering studies with respect to electrical design aspects
• To establish and maintain a facilities electrical installations database

Education Qualification:
Minimum 2nd class honours University Engineering Degree (Electrical discipline)

Experience:
• Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience on offshore and onshore projects within the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
• Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) years.
