Renaissance University (RNU) Ugbawka, Enugu State invites applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the under-mentioned academic staff positions in its new Faculty of law commencing in the 2014/2015 academic session as follows:

A.                Professors

B.                 Associate Professor

C.                 Senior Lectures

A.        Professor

The professor is a senior academic staff who is to provide administrative and academic leadership in the Faculty. He will be responsible to the Vice Chancellor through the Dean of the Faculty

Qualification and Experience

i.                    Must be versatile in research activities and able to show in the field of Law

ii.                  Must be versatile in research activities and able to show evidence of continuing research and publications

iii.                Must have considerable administrative experience as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty or Provost of College in a University

iv.                Must have considerable teaching experience

v.                  Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of post doctorial research and teaching experience in the Faculty of Law of a University and show demonstrative evidence of ability to hold administrative position in the faculty of Law of a Universe

B.        Associate Professor

            Qualification and Experience: Same as requirement under (A) above.

C.        Senior Lecturer

The Senior lecturer is a Senior Academic staff of the Faculty responsible to the Dean for the discharge of academic and/or administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her

Duties

i.                    Undertaking programme and course planning and development and delivery

ii.                  Reviewing and determining acceptability of course developers

iii.                Monitoring the progress of course development

iv.                Undertaking examination duties such as preparation of examination questions, marking scheme and marking of answer scripts

v.                  Undertaking research activities, workshops, tutorials and seminars

vi.                Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Dean of the Faculty or the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.
