Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA) is a financial sector development organization working to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria. Established in late 2007, EFInA's vision is to be the leader in facilitating an all-inclusive and growth-promoting financial system. EFInA is funded by the UK Government's Department for International Development (DFID) and the Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation.
EFInA is seeking to recruit dynamic, strategic, and committed individuals to newly defined roles to build on its current achievements and accelerate the impact of financial inclusion in Nigeria. THE ROLES
Head of Programmes
Ensures innovative and holistic programme delivery, develops and implements a cohesive strategy across EFInA strategic areas and cross cutting themes, develops methodologies to harness global best practices to stimulate innovation within Nigeria's financial sector, builds strategic partnerships to drive policy change, identify trends and support opportunities to bring financial inclusion initiatives to scale, leads a core team of professionals and external technical experts to build stakeholders capacity.
Head of Knowledge and Evidence
Responsible for generating new research, disseminating credible information on the financial sector, and implementing strategies for knowledge-sharing, builds market capacity to access/use data to spur commercial innovation and policy reform brings rigour to the way financial sector programmes measures impact uses research findings to drive and support EFInA's strategic areas and cross cutting themes collaborations with academic and research partners.
Head of Innovation Funding
Manages existing grants, increase the pipeline of fundable projects develops strategies to introduce new funding approaches that will take financial inclusion initiatives to scale in Nigeria, liaise with stakeholders to catalyse the development of innovative and inclusive financial services develops and implements grants processes monitoring systems, works with the head of knowledge and evidence to disseminate lessons learned from projects funded.
Chief Operating Officer
Leads the ongoing development and implementation of EFInA's finance, admin, HR and IT functions and procurement processes, ensures all operational policies, processes and systems are in place and regulatory requirements are met, develops operational strategies and contributes to broader strategic planning, develops strategic partnership with external stakeholders.
Programme Manager, Payments
Designs, develops and executes EFInA's strategy to establish cheap and robust real time retail payment systems, ensures a pipeline of payment related projects for EFInA's Innovation fund, uses EFInA's research, innovation, advocacy and capacity building tools to drive large scale formal inclusion through the development of pervasive electronic payment systems, convenes, mediates between, and develops relationships with stakeholders to build an inclusive electronic payment environment in Nigeria.
Programme Manager, Agent Networks
Designs, develops and execute EFInA's strategy to establish ubiquitous agent networks ensures a pipeline of agent networks related projects for EFInA's research, innovation, advocacy and capacity building tools to drive large scale formal inclusion through the development of convenient and trustworthy agent networks, convenes, mediate between and develops relationships with stakeholders to promote the development of widespread agent networks in Nigeria.
HR and Administration Manager
Ensures EFOnA's has the human resources required to achieve is strategic objectives provides highly efficient HR, administrative and logistical support, develops and continuously improves operational HR and administration policies and procedures applies best practices and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements engages with staff to foster and enabling work environment builds relationship with key external stakeholders.
Communication Officer
Develops and implements communications and PR strategies to effectively position EFInA and strengthen its brand, increases stakeholders' awareness of EFInA as the leading financial sector development organization and information source about financial inclusion, disseminates research findings to increase understanding of financial inclusion in Nigeria.
Research Officer
Provides high-quality research information to support EFInA's strategic advocacy and capacity building initiatives supports planning design, and implementation of research projects, project manages research initiatives, ensuring adherence to guidelines and methodologies analyses data and prepares relevant reports helps build relationships with external stakeholders disseminates research findings to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria.
Executive Assistant to the CEO
Provides strategic, administrative, logistical and operational support to the Office of the CEO, acts as a sounding board for the CEO, contributes to strategic planning processes, assists in managing and developing relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders.
Essential Competencies and Capabilities
Successful applicants will have a strong strategic focus and be results-driven innovative and committed to high standards of performance. They will be highly adaptable, creative, and used to delivered results in a dynamic and fluid working environment. They will be able to leverage their experience to rapidly assume a wider range of responsibilities and make decisive and tangible contributions to EFInA as soon as the join the organization. Applicants must be comfortable negotiating change, taking responsibility, and making complex strategic and operational decisions. Applicants must demonstrate integrity and high personal ethical standards, be highly numerate, analytical and detail-focused, and be strongly committed to financial inclusion.
