UNICEF Nigeria seeks the services of experienced WASH professional at various levels (NOA, NOB, & NOC) to be based in multiple duty stations
1.            WASH Specialist (NOC) will be accountable for formulation, design planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programmed to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the progrmme management, delivery and accomplishment of UNICEF programme goals and objectives for the country.
Minimum Requirements:
·         Advanced university degree in one of the discipline relevant of the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering, or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance
·         Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national government or the private sector. Field work experience
2.            WASH Officer (NOA and NOB) will be accountable for professional technical contribution to programme/project design, planning, administration, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programme/project activities, data analysis and progress reporting, and commitment for enhancement of teamwork and capacity building, in support of achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with UNICEF programme goals and strategy for the country.
Minimum Requirements:
·         University degree in one of the discipline relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering, or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance
·         One Year (for NOA) Two years (for NOB) of professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization or private sector (for IP) and national government and field work experience.
Minimum Technical Knowledge Requirements for all above positions
·         Essential Technical Knowledge of theories, principles and methods in one or more of the following  areas: communication for behavior change,      WASH in schools rural water supply projects implementation planning, evaluation, appropriate water supply and quality technology i.e. community based water supply, controlling water borne related diseases, emergency (preparedness and response).
·         Knowledge of the latest theories, technology and practices in community based sanitation i.e. hygiene education or latrine construction and waste management
·         Gender and diversity awareness
·         Additional training in Health Education or Communication for Development) Programm Communication), an asset,
