The Role
Due to the expansion of activities in Nigeria, the company is looking to appoint a CEO to drive its work in the Nigerian Power Sector forward. This is a unique opportunity to work at an International Power Company which is growing at unprecedented rates. The applicant will be responsible for growing the business in Nigeria.

Suitable Applicants


Will have experience at CEO level.

With at least 8 years experience working in the Nigerian Power Industry and at least 3 years in a management role candidates must have experience of start-ups. Candidates must understand the challenges facing the Power sector in Nigeria and have worked on IPPs. You will also be driven, ambitious and confident with the ability to multitask, prioritise and make clear judgements. Excellent communication skills are essential. A financial background is advantageous.

Nigerian nationals are preferred.

Your key duties will include
-Engaging and influencing key stakeholders.
-Driving projects forward.
-Maintaining relationships with Power Plants.
-Engaging with suppliers.
-Ensuring all business functions within the laws of Nigeria.

Salary
An annual cost to company package from $190k - $210k per annum is provided. There are many other benefits provided which will be discussed with suitable applicants only.

Operations Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Client
Active in enhancing Nigeria's social reform through its power generation, this Energy Company is a dynamic leader in the Power Sector.

The Role
Due to the expansion of a number of projects in Nigeria, the company is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to manage its Power Plants. The position will involve creating and driving maintenance strategy and monitoring and regulating costs against budgets to ensure target output levels can be achieved. As Operations Manager you will be responsible for training local staff, ensuring practices are implemented and be liable for the efficiencies of the unit.
The position will be based in either: Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja or Calabar.

Suitable Applicants
With a Mechanical Engineering degree, candidates must have at least 12 years experience working with gas turbines and engines. Candidates will be dynamic, enthusiastic and have worked as an Operations Manager for at least 3 years. You will also be fluent in English and have experience of working in Africa.

Your key duties will include
-Management and Supervision of Operations.
-Coordinating and managing the team.
-Optimising Power Plant Operations.
-Ensuring the team work and adhere to all company policies.
-Develop and implement procedures and systems for operation and maintenance of the plant.
-Training staff in operations and maintenance procedures.
-Budget control.

Senior Project Manager

The Client
Active in enhancing Nigeria's social reform through its power generation, this Energy Company is a dynamic leader in the Power Sector.

The Role
Due to the expansion of a number of projects in Nigeria, the company is looking to appoint a Senior Projects Manager to manage its Gas Turbine installation project and ensure customer satisfaction is reached by delivering the project on time and budget. The position will be based in Port Harcourt, and will involve managing the team and subcontractors. This is a temporary position, for an initial 6 months, with the opportunity to take on a permanent contract in another area of the business upon completion of the project.

Suitable Applicants
With at least 15 years' experience working with Gas Turbines, and 7 years' experience as a Project Manager, candidates will be dynamic, pro-active and extremely competent in their leadership and technical abilities. Candidates will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and will be familiar with installations. You will have good understanding of heavy duty gas turbines and be fluent in English. Experience of working in Africa is essential.
You must be available immediately.

Your key duties will include
-Coordinating and managing the team.
-Ensuring the project is delivered on time and on budget.
-Liaising with the Customers, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
-Maintaining good working relationships with the subcontractors.
