Chief Deposit and Liability Gathering Officer

An opportunity is available for a Chief Deposit and Liability Gathering Officer in Nigeria.

 Key Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive liability transacting strategy for the Bank
Lead and coordinate deposit and liability gathering activities across the Bank
Evaluate and develop the appropriate product set for clients.
Give input into and execute on liability structure and pricing as set by the Treasury function.
Create a process to ensure all transactors ensure deposit capture or distribution capability
Determine the key metrics and build a tracking system for deposit growth against targeted balance sheet structure

Develop a marketing and sales approach for deposit gathering
On and off balance sheet structure product development.
Drive investor road shows, in conjunction with the Treasury function.
Member of Bank EXCO.
 Qualifications and Experience:

A post graduate degree, preferably in Finance, with at least 10 years’ experience in Finance and Relationship management in a financial institution and/or corporate environment.
The candidate should be experienced in the art of relationship development and negotiating to a level that is appropriate with individuals in West African Corporates and Financial Institutions of at least Treasurer or Financial Director level
The candidate must have previous experience in liability gathering, sourcing “deals” and negotiating their successful conclusion.
The candidate should have a thorough understanding of the other products the bank offers.
The ability to interact with senior dealmakers within Bank as well as other Bank Divisional executives is essential.
The candidate should have existing West African Corporate and Financial Institutions client and market network at a senior level.
Comprehensive knowledge of West African business environment and political situation.
Outstanding relationship and origination skills.
Outstanding origination, negotiating and dispute management skills.
Sound knowledge of the Customer Relationship Management concept and its application.
