Head, Media Content and Relations (Traditional & Social/Digital Communications) Unit
This position provides an opportunity for a passionate communications professional to manage development of media content and relations for traditional and social media /digital communications with a collaborative team on behalf of our clients. This ideal candidate will be instrumental in cultivating and growing traditional and social media / digital communications opportunities with existing and prospective clients, and have a strong interest in corporate communications and integrated consumer marketing. The person must be between the age 25 – 35 years, with minimum of 2 years work experience in development of media content and relations for traditional and social media.
Responsibilities
Developing content that is well-written, on message, and is media friendly.
Developing digital content such that they suit the relevant platform
Strategic and holistic media relations planning,
Sustaining consistent media interactions
Ensuring effective client specific media relations
Systematic media monitoring, both traditional and digital, aligned with client and prospect needs
Systematic media analysis aligned with client needs.
Daily media monitoring tailored to clients needs
Monthly/Quarterly Media Analysis tailored to clients needs
Monthly Media Evaluation/Digital Analytics
Providing value-added services by contributing new ideas in the various areas of the agency’s operations
Supporting business development by prospecting for the agency
Contributing to financial planning
Supporting the development of an effective talent management system
Developing the agency’s digital capacity
Professional Skills
Is a broadly capable writer, able to generate a range of materials (e.g., client memos, press releases, speeches, and articles) that require minimal editing
Is a skilled editor capable of directing the written materials of others
Has established relationships with print, broadcast journalists and online journalists and bloggers
Experience in social media strategy across all platforms and communications channels, including but not limited to Google+, Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, and Instagram
Expertise in creating digital content for arrange of social channels targeting a wide variety of targets
Able to provide counsel and perspective to client on anticipated media interest/coverage
Efficiently and effectively plans and manages events (e.g., press conferences, media tours, advocate briefings, etc.)
Understands the creative process and how to work effectively with internal and external creative resources.
Has in-depth understanding of graphic and video production, as well as IT and emerging media.
Able to incorporate Digital Influence outlets into programmes
Has established a circle of industry editorial, professional and/or third-party group contacts.
Has strong presentation skills and plays an increasingly active role in new business and client presentations.
Anticipates and assists in developing solutions to client needs and problems.
