STANDARD CHARTERED BANK (HEAD. CONTROL AND SUPPORT)

Job description
This role is needed to handle and make decisions on operational issues and activities relating to Control and support, coordinate the Business planning and cost management for GTO as well as closely monitor and support the reconciliation and closure out of outstanding items on the Bank’s NOSTRO & Suspense accounts

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1.To handle and make decisions on operational issue and activities relating to Control and support to ensure compliance with standard procedures and regulatory controls are maintained.

2.Ensure all services supported by the unit are performed in accordance with the agreed service and quality standards and in line with customers’ needs.



3.Act as a single point of contact for country Data management committee - DMC processes

4.Co-ordinate the investigations of all the Bank’s NOSTRO accounts and the internal suspense accounts under the ownership of GTO.

5.Regularly collate and consolidate GTO key performance indices and be able to explain the trend analysis.

6.Review GTO cost and ensure completeness and accuracy.

7.Be directly involved in the formulation and collation of GTO annual budget and ensure it is consistent with the overall agreed strategy.

8.Provide support to Group Recons Hub (GRH) to ensure smooth running of Nigeria recons operations.

9.Review periodically procedures and systems in the unit for improvements and enhancements to ensure increase in productivity and efficiency.

10.Serves as the single point of contact for training coordination and reporting

11.Develop and manage relationships with key internal customers by anticipating their needs, and ensuring that service standards meet their requirements.

12.Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the CIO.

In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
