VACANCIES FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF POSITIONS
ELIZADE University is a private University situated in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria. The University aims to be an institution with the best traditions in the production of self-reliant, ethics-conscious, globally competitive graduates imbued with requisite skills, competencies and ability to be key players in the nation’s quest for socio-economic and technological development.

The University’s learning environment comprises state-of-the art structures and infrastructural facilities, as well as teaching equipment that rank at par with those in educational institutions in developed countries.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified, innovative, versatile and proactive candidates to occupy the vacant Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Positions in the following Departments/Units:
1. The University Library
University Librarian
The University Librarian as a Principal Officer shall be in charge of the University Library and its constituent units. He shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the operations of the University.
For this key management position, the University seeks candidates who have good managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life and who should be able to provide the Management of the University with appropriate advice and support for all of the institution’s library transactions. The right candidate should have the ability to generate ideas that would facilitate the development of University.

Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Library Studies or M.L.S and be of a Professional Standing in addition to other professional qualifications. Applicants must also be extensively Computer literate.
2. Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences
a.  Department of Biological Sciences
Positions:

Areas of Specialization: Bacteriology (Microbiology), Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Environment Management & Toxicology.
b. Department of Physical & Chemical Sciences

Physics: All Areas of Physics, Particularly, Physics-Electronics, Industrial Physics, Geology, Geophysics.
Chemistry: All Areas of Chemistry, Particularly, Industrial Chemistry.
c. Department of Mathematics & Computer Science

3. Faculty of Humanities & Management Sciences

4. Faculty of Engineering:
Positions:
i. Lecturer I/II    ii. Senior Lecturer/Reader/Professor
Areas of Specialization: Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Information & Communication Technology.
Qualifications:
Lecturer II
Candidates should possess a Ph. D Degree from a recognized University with at least two (2) years post-Doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in a University they must also have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and international learned journals, plus membership of relevant professional bodies where required.
Lecturer 1
Candidates should possess a Ph. D Degree from a recognized University with at least three (3) years post-Doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in a University they must also have evidence of journal articles in reputable local and international learned journals, plus membership of relevant professional bodies where required.



Senior Lecturer
Candidates should possess a Ph. D Degree from a recognized University with at least six (6) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a University they must also have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and international learned journals, plus membership of relevant professional bodies where required.
Reader
Candidates should possess a Ph. D Degree from a recognized University with at least Eight (8) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a University. Candidate must have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and international learned journals, plus membership of relevant professional bodies where required.
Professor
Candidates should possess a Ph. D Degree from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a University. Candidate must demonstrate competence in providing academic leadership. Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local and international learned journals, plus membership of relevant professional bodies where required.
NON-TEACHING POSITIONS:
a. Department of Information & Communication Technology
b. Networking Engineer
The right candidate for this position is to monitor the cabling structure and devices within the Elizade University network; create and set up ways in which the network can be configured and managed. He/she will help implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks and provide direction, information and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.


Qualifications/Required Skills:
Bsc/HND in related field
Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required
Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification
Cisco Unified Communication Manager Configuration and infrastructure a plus
Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL experience a plus
Additional certifications required by management
Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support
Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls
Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment
Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance etc.
ii. Systems Engineer
The right candidate will be responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support. He/she will perform a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment while also providing investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.
 Qualifications/Required Skills:
OND in related field
MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional
Maintain two Microsoft competency requirements to enable company to maintain Microsoft Partner Network Membership
Excellent working knowledge of up-to-date desktop applications
Knowledge of Windows Servers, workstations, MS Exchange, VMware, Citrix, anti-virus and other various software applications
Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both in written and verbal forms.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment
Must hold a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and possess reliable transportation
Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance etc.
Note:
i. Salaries and allowances attached to the various position are competitive with the approved Salary Scheme for Federal University Nigeria.
ii. Computer literacy is required for all the positions.
