MASSIVE OPENINGS AT WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT CENTRE

The Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Strategy has been developed up to encourage the Southwest States of Nigeria to develop a common set of integrated development strategies that enable the region and her citizens to experience well managed process of development across all spheres of existence. Set up with the intent of achieving a greater vision of impacting the rapid development of the Southwest region, DAWN COMMISSION is looking to hire top notch professionals to join her team in realizing this vision in the following capacities:



Head, Data, Planning & Analytics – OSS/HDPA/13
Responsibilities;

Plans, supervises, and coordinates a comprehensive regional development data, research, and statistical capability involving the gathering of data, preparation of reports, and analysis of information useful for planning and decision making
Designs action programs oriented towards defined problem areas; analyzes the results of the implemented programs using systems methods and makes adjustments accordingly
Performs research on and evaluates existing developmental programs; and provide recommendations on the continuation or modification of such programs
Creates and maintains liaisons with others that are important to the conduct of the Planning and Analysis
Requirements:
Minimum of first degree, with at least 8 years of research, data gathering and planning experience
Prior experience in a similar function with an international organization involved with developmental initiatives
Working knowledge of statistical analytical techniques & tools
Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills
Project management skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Head, Development Communications Unit – DAC/HDC/13
Responsibilities;
Develop and implement the Commission’s internal and external communications strategy
Undertake the necessary monitoring and evaluation activities in order to determine the success or otherwise of communications strategies
Contribute expertise in the areas of media and online engagement and public outreach to the Commission’s overall strategic planning
Reach out to stakeholders and raise public awareness to positively influence public opinion around key issues
Ensure that all output, including articles, briefing papers and key correspondence copy, is in the Commission's agreed standard
Coordinate and manage public outreach and education events, including lectures, workshops and conferences
Deliver communication services for the Commission; including media coverage, effective public relations and the production and distribution of communication arising from the Commission’s activities
Requirements:
Minimum of first degree in any discipline
At least seven years' experience in corporate communications (preferably in the not-for-profit sector) or journalism
Exceptional written communications skills, with ability to adapt style to suit different communications media and audiences
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Demonstrable experience of communicating complex and nuanced issues to the media
Versed in the use of social media

Head, Programmes & Projects – OSS/HPP/13
Responsibilities;
Manage all events, conferences and project activity to ensure effectiveness, adherence to objectives and budgets
Coordinate and prioritize the Commission’s project and activities
Effectively work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing
Manage project execution and ensure compliance to agreed standards in line with the  Commission’s needs
Requirements:
Minimum of first degree in any discipline
5 years practical experience in project and event management preferably for a developmental organization involved in multi million naira projects.
PMI certification is essential
Practical experience in the use of project management tools and /or software packages
Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
Ability to elicit cooperation from stakeholders and other departments
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)




Head, Systems & Finance – DAC/HSF/13
Responsibilities;
Develop policies and procedures that facilitate operational efficiency of the commission in the areas of Information Technology, Human Resource, Office Administration and Finance
Coordinate staff management and general administration – staff discipline, performance management, welfare management, training and staff development
Prepare the Commissions’ operational, financial and other periodic reports, corporate plans and other reporting requirements and submit to the Board for information and/or approval as the case may be
Manage vendors Service Level Agreements and ensure compliance towards delivery excellent service to the commission.
Ensure the Commissions complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations
Ensure that IT and HR processes support the effective running of the business
Assist the commission in developing strategies for fund raising and management of such funds.
Requirements:
Minimum of first degree in Accounting, Economics or any Numerate discipline
ACCA, CIMA, ACA and any relevant functional professional qualification will be an added advantage.
At least five (5) years’ experience in a leadership capacity in a similar position.
Management accounting experience including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting is an added advantage
Proven ability for implementing and monitoring financial controls and creating processes and procedures
Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

Advisor, Enterprise Competitiveness & Innovations – DAC/AECI/13
Responsibilities;
Seek and promote best-in-class innovation, initiatives and methodology in different areas of development focus for mainstreaming, applicability and adapatbility in the Southwest Region
Leverage data and information to identify world class initiatives that will promote the development of the Southwest Region
Promote investments in renewable projects and activities that improves access to modern  services for social and productive uses
Provide strategic direction in the major functions of the operations and market it to key stakeholders, financiers and target audiences
Midwife entrepreneurship and partnership initiatives and programmes with relevant agents of development within the Country and across the world
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role is required to have extensive experience in the development community, both at the conceptual and practical levels
Access into the world of strategic development innovations and initiatives, including the capacity for creating the methodology for adoption and applicability
Demonstrated ability to gather information and data from different sources and creatively come up with transformational initiatives
Minimum of Eight (8) years’ experience in similar role from an organization involved in societal transformational initiatives, managing business innovation and SME development
Experience in project management
Must be creative and analytical
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

Executive Assistant – DAC/EA/13
Responsibilities;
Fully supporting regular activities such as annual plan, strategy planning, quarterly reviews and monthly reporting through collection and preparation of information in relevant format, organizing agendas, meeting times and locations
Proactive forward planning of diaries to ensure travel plans and meetings are scheduled and updated and that any conflicts are resolved in a timely manner
Planning and coordinating off-site/on-site meetings/events and handle logistical arrangements of conference rooms, meal arrangements, and guest accommodations
Dealing with confidential and sensitive information in relation to the operational running of the commission
Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
Research and data analysis in projects and/or initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role
First degree in Law
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Extremely detailed oriented and strong planning and organization skills
Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative and be proactive
High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
