Direct Report: Head, Design & Construction Department & PM

A reputable property development company with head office in Abuja seeks to strengthen its team of professionals with specialized skills in the following roles:

Job Summary
To design the frame that holds a building together to ensure it withstands all stress and strains.

Requirement

Relevant degree qualification-Bsc Eng and Msc Eng in structural engineering
Must be a certified member of COREN
Excellent understanding of real estate business in Nigeria
Strong written and spoken English
Strong communication skills
Excellent presentation and report writing skills
Excellent property/real estate designing skills (structural designs)
Strong self management skills to ensure timely project deliverables
Excellent relationship management skills especially with third parties
Excellent team playing skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Not more than 30 years
Minimum of 3-5 year working experience
Good project management skill
Key Responsibilities
Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other professionals.
Developing structural designs
Supervising project teams
Developing concept designs of structures
Giving progress reports to management
Working with other professionals on project site
Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition
Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements
Preparing bids for tenders
