Job Title:     Procurement Officer (Services)
Department:   Finance
Location:     Lagos

Job Description:
•Executive category strategies for Local and Central categories
•Make input to the category strategy
•Advise user departments and suppliers of MTN’s standard commercial terms and conditions
•Provide periodic status updates on user requests.
•Make recommendations for user department on sourcing options and solutions.
•Provide input for identification of opportunities, achieve, and track procurement savings.
•Execute the procurement processes (RFI, RFP and RFQ) with respect to document preparation, issue, receipt and review

•Timely processing of sourcing related documents (RFQ, RFI, RFP, supplier correspondence, purchase order etc).
•Negotiations with suppliers regarding all terms related to the supply of goods and services for all items assigned for local categories.
•Interface between Commercial Legal, user departments and MTNN suppliers to ensure timely preparation and execution of contracts and execution of contracts or agreements and other relevant documents when necessary.
•Provide input to periodic reports.
•Pro-actively and independently resolve barriers to achieving key project milestones as they arise and manage contract SLAs and KPIs with our suppliers.
•Support the Category Manager to deliver project initiatives within timelines.
•Clearly communicate ideas and insights to stakeholders and proactively manage issues.
•Provide procurement support to deliver the most effective and efficient use of company’s funds in the acquisition of goods and services to deliver the key procurement imperatives of Quality, Cost and Risk Management.
•To support the embedding of E-sourcing in MTN Nigeria.
•data gathering and analysis to support the preparation of professional bid-templates and evaluation of prospective supplier’s tenders against service, quality and cost parameters.
•Supporting the function’s governance agenda.
•The role will be based in Lagos.
•Analytical and numerical skills.

Job Conditions:     Normal MTNN working conditions May be required to work extended hours
Reporting To:     Procurement Admin Supervisor

Required Skills:
A first degree in Business Administration or any other related numerate discipline.
Relevant University Degree and demonstrable ability to learn and develop.
Minimum of 4 years procurement experience in essential covering all procurement imperatives (quality, service, cost, risk, growth, support, innovation)
Experience with an electronic procurement tool will be advantageous

Employment Status : Permanent
