Manager-Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Society for Water and Sanitation,
NEWSAN, is a registered, Non-Profit Nigerian Civil Society network dedicated to
the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to the poorest
people of Nigeria .
It is a network of over 300 Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria which
advocates for pro-poor policies in the WASH sector, and work with member
organisations to manage to cost, sustainable projects and also influence policy
makers to secure the right of poor people to affordable water and sanitation
services
To effectively implement our
activities, NEWSAN is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates
to fill the position of Project Manager to
be based at our secretariat in Abuja .
You will head the secretariat and
successfully design programmes, ensure their implementation and documentation
of surveys and researches in NEWSAN. As the successful candidate, you will also
support policy and advocacy research initiatives for evidence-based advocacy.
You are also to lead in fund raising for various projects and activities for
the network.
You will have experience in
advocacy, extensive research, analysis and report writing. Knowledge and
experience in the development sector and the policy environment is important to
this role.
Minimum requirement for this
position is a university degree with a minimum working experience of 6 years
(post qualification) of which 3 years must be in a similar role. Experience of
working in the WASH sector will be an added advantage.
