Our client is a First – class indigenous company with franchise for the marketing and Distribution of key brands of European, American and Asian Trucks covering Tractor Heads, Cargo Trucks, Dump Trucks and Flat beds. They are also involved in the Importation, Sales and Maintenance of various Heavy Duty Construction Equipment, Generators, Transformers and Large stocks of various Spare parts required running the above Trucks and Equipment. As a result of expansion and strategic repositioning and in line with vision to be among the top 3 in this sector, our clients seeks the immediate employment of the following can-do, result oriented and exceptional individuals for the following positions.



1. CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) supports the work of Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) focusing on the establishment and optimization of day-to-day operations in the Company. A senior management position, the role is for seasoned and qualified professional with visionary leadership skills in business development, project management, organizational development, strategic planning, and change management in managing the company’s operations; willing and eager to take on risky and difficult assignments and driven by results.
The holder must be an accomplished leader and team builder with strong and consistent record of improving operational performance. Has track record of demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with workout and turn-around skills enabling new business projects to be implemented. Holder must have good understanding of diverse business environments and markets. All internal Department Heads responsible for delivering the Company’s Products and Services shall report to the COO.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Advise the Management Team on key Planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions
2. Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation
3. Establish Operational Processes/Process Improvement
4. Manage Strategy Implementation, in particular
5. Ensure quality control of all Company Output as pertains to Customer Acquisition and Delivery of Services.
6. Set Operational and/or Performance Goals to ensure that progress is being made
7. Monitor Department Performance against Performance Goals to ensure that progress is being made.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS COMPETENCIES:
Ability to lead, plan and manage change
Passion, or the willingness to become immersed in work
Strong negotiation skills
Must be between the ages of 35-50 with a minimum of 15 years experience, 5 of which should be in a Senior Management Position
Recognized Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Management Sciences and clearly a quality MBA would be and added advantage

2. Technical Director (EXPATRIATE OR NIGERIAN)
This is a very senior management position responsible for the overall Technical Project and activities of the company. The candidate must have 10 years of relevant experience and background in Heavy Duty Trucks and equipment covering the various brands
The Candidate shall be responsible for the realization and management of all Technical and Engineering initiatives directly supervising field operation. Directly supervising the workshops and field operations.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
Degree in a relevant field or equivalent (preferably in Mechanical Engineering
10 years relevant experience
Background in Heavy Duty Trucks and Equipment

3. Caterpillars, Crane and Construction Equipment Engineer
Must have a Degree or HND IN Mechanical Engineering
Must have at least years direct relevant experience in the operation, supervision and maintenance of various heavy duty equipment including various construction equipment, caterpillar and cranes

4. Business Development Manager
TASKS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Development Manager shall concentrate on developing new revenue streams from new products and services through identification of project opportunities and analysis of the marketplace for pertinent strategic opportunities, while optimizing income from existing lines through innovative marketing and rapid exploitation of changing customer needs.

Prospective candidates must have the ability to research into new business opportunities, identifies likely sales points, develop strategic plans and sales strategies and implement marketing plan to achieve business revenues and targets. He or she will undertake presentations to negotiations with prospective customers.

He or she must have considerable sales experience, be an organized and strong negotiator, and be aware of and responsive to economic trends, government policies and developments within the work environment.

Responsibilities include, contacting potential clients, and working with senior management to position the firm in new marketers and business opportunities

Work will also include technical proposal writing and interface with the marketing staff.
Minimum Requirements/Skills/Competences
Successful candidate must have exceptional communication, presentation and writing skills, Individuals must be between the ages of 30-50 years with a minimum of 10 years experience, 5 of which should be in business development and / marketing. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering will be an advantage
Individuals must be self-motivated and self-starter requiring minimal supervision with demonstrateable ability to work with and motivate other people. Managing risk and negotiating commercial terms will form integral part of job role.
