Vacancies: Technical Support Officer, New Business Venture Officer
One of the strategic Agencies of the Rivers State Government helping to complement the current administration’s efforts in accelerating development in the State, would like to strengthen its project delivery capability by recruiting seasoned administrators and other professionals and has mandated SAMUELSON to identify proactive, well trained, result-oriented and IT proficient Rivers State indigenes to fill the positions below in the Organization.
The positions and related information are as follows:
Position: Technical Support Officer: (Procurement and Contracting)
Job Profile
* Prepare and interpret pre and post contractual technical specification
* Carry out Technical Evaluation and resolve disputes over interpretation and application of particular technical codes
* Prepare correspondence and reports; performs the inspections in specialized field such as electrical, structural, energy, grading, or plumbing/mechanical.
Educational and Professional Qualifications
* Minimum of a first Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Survey, Architecture or related discipline
Work Experience/ Attributes Expected
* Minimum of 5 years experience
* Membership of Nigerian Society of Engineers and Council for the Regulation of Engineering plus professional work experience in procurement and contracting will be added advantage
* Customer service courtesy its essential for this position
Position: New Business Venture Officer
Job Profile
* Assist in the administrative, commercial and financial aspects of managing joint ventures with local and international Partners
Educational and Professional Qualifications
* Minimum of a first degree or equivalent with at least second class lower with major course work in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Business Management.
* Ability to use recognized professional Accounting /Auditing software with sound financial management background is required.
Work Experience/ Attributes Expected
* Minimum of 3 years experience in developing business plans and or Financial Consulting, Economic Research and or Project Finance
* The ability to interpret financial statements and prepare financial projections is required
* Membership of ACA, ACCA or CPA would be an added experience
