JOB TITLE: STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES
1 The person will among other responsibilities carry out the following:
2 Ensure sourcing initiatives for categories of goods/services and equipment to fully address business objectives and needs
3 Establish targets and objectives for categories of goods/services and equipment with the
procurement Director.
4 Populate master data( classification, Naming convention, DOM, safety stock, Re-order point, etc)in collaboration with relevant functions
4 Develop a 2nd Tier of key suppliers for selected category, equipment and critical spares areas to support spares availability.
5 Ensure supplier management activities support strategic and financial objectives of the company and work to mitigate risk associated with supply
6 Collaborate with all departments to agree and optimize effective sourcing and supplier management initiatives
7 Conduct rigorous performance management of the sourcing team to ensure excellent performance.
8 Ensure benefit target achieved
SKILLS:
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft word, power point, excel, and other relevant packages
SPECIAL SKILLS
Proven performance in managing and developing a sourcing team, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered.
QUALIFICATION
A minimum of Bachelor, HND in Engineering, purchasing, logistics, planning. Possession of MBA is an added advantage.
THE PERSON
Not more than 45 years of age. Proactive, self motivated, Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical, very Energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team player
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 10 years in procurement or operation function and a minimum of 5 years as senior sourcing manager with exposes in supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes.
