JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company in line with the Group’s strategy. The individual will drive business growth, profitability and ensure effectiveness in business performance. Ensures effective implementation of the business strategies, growth plans and budgets for each of the units and central functions based on the long-term strategies of the Group. Monitors and directs SBU leadership to enable them deliver on their individual programmes, achieve set targets and improve overall performance. Financial analysis, budgeting, cost management, strategic management, supply chain management, project management. Industry and Business knowledge (agro-allied/manufacturing/trading, shipping). Business development, negotiation, sales and marketing. Business process expertise (including understanding of cost drivers, technology opportunities, operations and quality management). Entrepreneurial orientation and international exposure.
JOB REQUIREMENT
First Degree in a Social Science, Marketing or Business Administration. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage. Relevant professional membership. Have a minimum of 10 years experience in Sales, Brand Management, Marketing (Direct Marketing, Merchandising, Trade Marketing, and Channel Management), at least 7 years in an FMCG environment and at least 5 years in a senior managerial position. Must have networking skills and exceptional at business development. Also, be able to identify and develop access to new/alternative channels of communication. Minimum of 32 years.
